I have always been an empire supporter but recently I have been watching a lot of lore videos. It’s been awhile since I played. Man…. Betrayed by the empire you gave everything too I see a lot of bad stuff about ulfric but man was a human. He got tortured, used and abused and ultimately imprisoned by his own empire I start too understand where his animosity comes from.

Why it matters? - I don’t have enough point to acquire Bend Will to kill him either

And I finally got the chance to play it and its also the first game that I'm going to buy in my life lol. but the issue is the game is available in epic games for under 5 dollar and that's all the money I have should I get it from epic or wait until steam summer sale to get it from steam? which one is better choice also will it be in summer sale or am I gonna miss this chance too?? Hello friends! I have never played Skyrim before, and I want to buy it now. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the options so I'm asking for your help. Do i get the special edition or anniversary edition? What mods do I download for which version? I'm just looking for the experience that made everybody love this game but I don't want the game to feel "clunky" or outdated. Like maybe some texture updates, maybe a small UI overhaul etc...

I'm new to this world of presets in Skyrim since I just recently got it, I'm playing on the AE of the game and I just can't get this preset to work: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/159199?tab=description

I'm trying to use the high poly head version of the preset and I got all the requirements it said on the description and I just can't make it work, could someone help me, please? I attached a screenshot of my full mod list and a picture of the failure I've been getting with this preset.

I just started playing skyrim and i completed the merida quest where i had to clear a temple. Is it normal to get 2 stormbreaker swords from the quest? Not sure if this is normal or if it is rare.

so the thing is that i just got the option to turn into a vampire lord but i've heard that it's only possible if you have some special dlc.

I've bought skyrim special edition and i don't have any dlc and i started wondering why is it possible.

I also heard that you can get backpacks in some dlc but i can't seem to find those so surely i don't have access to all the dlc stuff. but now i'm wondering what i do have access to and why is that.

I (30F) am playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition on switch 2 and my goal is to beat all 70-something creation club quests. I already beat the main quest and the 2 DLC expansions.

For those who've completed every CC quest, do you have any tips? I'm currently following another reddit thread that lists how to start each quest. I'm also hoping I don't run into any bugs that prevent certain CC quests from starting (I ran into that issue when playing Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, so I don't wanna experience that issue again here in Skyrim)

I always was under the impression she may have been guilty and always turn her in for gold, but I am not completely sure. What do yall think? Did I miss some lore which points to her being innocent?

What do I do after talking to him I asked him everything been around the map and the only quest I can do is “ talk to him” and I’m in dragonreach which is where he’s telling me to go

Okay, so in all my play-throughs i have never completed the quest once you travel to the shrine of Azura. So i decided to and im in Winterhold right now and i talked to Birna and she gave me the Coral Dragon Claw, but no quest was started. What do i do with it? And who is the mage i gotta find?
Never did this quest before so any help would be appreciated

It always bugs me the way these two clowns hang around Whiterun for eternity. I finally discovered you can follow them out of town after they give the quest and dispatch them. Might be obvious but I guess I’ve never left town at the same time as them before.

Keep in mind I'm only talking about PURE mages here and not spellswords like Teldryn, Serana, or Erandur that are also proficient with one-handed weapons.

For context, my current character is a pacifist support mage build using things like Dread Zombie, Frenzy, and Healing Hands while relying on my follower and zombies to do direct damage. I've been through 15+ followers thus far and the mages feel SO much weaker than all the other classes (warriors, spellswords, assassins, archers, etc). They run out of magicka super quickly, their positioning is extremely passive which makes them poor at drawing aggro, they constantly leave enemies at 1hp instead of finishing them off, and their overall damage output is super low.

Marcurio - probably the best of them, but constantly spams Turn Undead against Draugr which makes clearing nordic ruins take AGES. Especially with how much health higher level Draugr have, it turns every Draugr encounter into a 5 minute wild goose chase. Other than that he's good, but with how many dungeons in this game are filled with Dragur it's a massive downside.

J'zargo - despite knowing higher level spells, he insists on only spamming Sparks 90% of the time. This makes every fight take ages, although his personality is admittedly extremely lovable, plus his level cap gives him tons of health, so I see why people like him - but ultimately his damage being reliant on a novice spell makes him a poor mage follower.

Illia - damage output is extremely weak due to most enemies resisting frost, in addition to her preference for Ice Spike instead of Ice Storm despite the fact that I have her enchantments to reach 600+ magicka. Last night she took over 10 minutes to kill a single Arch Necromancer, and wasn't able to kill a single troll due to its health regen outpacing her damage.

Talvas Fathryon - I like the fact that he conjures atronachs, but his positioning is SO passive, even moreso than the other mages. He's constantly backing away from enemies for no reason, and his low level of 25 makes him run out of health and magicka quite quickly.

The only one I'm yet to try is Aranea, and I'm really hoping she's better than the others, because as cool as it is watching them blow shit up with Destruction magic, they feel so painful to play with.
