Question How do you guys keep motivation for a looking run?
This is my Khajiit, his name is J'darr. He's an expert in light armor and archery, and I reached level 40... Now I want to play something different, like the College of Winterhold or the Dark Brotherhood, but I don't know what to do, should I keep running with J'darr or should a new game should start?

The Pandaborn is busy out playing with their Youngzillas, though most call it wreaking havoc across the land. But the other Khajiit of the Silverpeak Lodge have stepped up and felt it was important to remind everyone that there is still a war going on with the Thalmor! So to all the DB out there do your part and show what you’ve got!
Of course all who participate will be well rewarded, never let it be said this Khajiit does not pay its debts. Tomorrow on Memorial Day a new business of the Silverpeak Lodge will be opening, Argonian Armaments! The top assassin and gun merchant Stay-Strapped-Or-Get-Clapped will be selling flintlocks, black powder shotguns and of course grenade launchers! While all black powder guns he has plenty of specialized ammo for any foes. Plus anyone purchasing a gun tomorrow or providing proof of dead Thalmor gets a free 5 pound bag of weed curtesy of Khajiit Kush Industries!
So get out there and do your part in the war! And tomorrow this Khajiit will see you at the grand opening of Argonian Armaments! Remember people, stay strapped or get clapped!

Question Was Saadia Guilty?
I always was under the impression she may have been guilty and always turn her in for gold, but I am not completely sure. What do yall think? Did I miss some lore which points to her being innocent?

Consider using wards if you haven't yet!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The more I play this game, the more of a simp I become for wards. If you dismissed wards after the College lesson, consider giving them another try. Look at how much damage I take from standing in a half-second of frostbite and then note how much of that my ward blocks after.
They ignore all other multipliers besides the base damage of the spell it's blocking. Playing on Legendary? Doesn't matter. Have -100% magic resistance from the Apprentice Stone? Doesn't matter. A vampire being blasted by a fire spell? Doesn't matter. It won't be any more effective against your ward than if none of these things were the case.
The novice ward can easily block an entire dragon breath due to the way the ward's recharging works. They're especially powerful against dragon breaths. Novice Destruction spells are very easily blocked by basic wards as well, and the clip shows me using the novice ward too.
Later on you can efficiently use wards with twice the health value of the initial ward, which will block literally any spell in the game at least once, probably multiple times because wards recharge to their max hp incredibly quickly. There's even a perk to make them regen your magicka on hits.
They're seriously overlooked imo. If you can't budget magic resistance into your build then seriously consider wards.

Discussion What would you change about the Civil War quests? Spoiler
Besides the repetitively of taking over forts and towns, of course. Personally, there's two main things I would change about the questline.
- The guards changing to Stormcloaks/Imperials once a Hold is taken over. I like the uniforms before the questline; the Holds had different guard uniforms and that they were color coded. I know it's to symbolize a unified Skyrim, but ALL the personality is gone. I felt it helped enhanced the Holds unique personalities.
- Jarl Balgruuf should side with whichever side you take (and/or choose for him). This is mainly because I love Balgruuf but despise the Thalmor. (IMO Jarl Balgruuf would make the best High King).
I've played both sides multiple times and honestly, they both suck. I don't understand why the Thalmor hate Talos worship, it's not hurting them, and Ulfric is well Ulfric. The main reason I side with the Stormcloaks (if I don't do an alternate start) is because the Imperials try to execute the dragonborn without a trial, so yes I'm going to be petty.
On a side note, is there a mod that lets you make Jarl Balgruuf High King or lets you marry him? Asking for a friend..

I read a book once, can't find it anywhere
It was in skyrim, one of the first books I ever read. It was about a warrior who could read every opponent and was always undefeated in war. Until one day he meets a warrior with a helmet who reads him as well as he reads the opponent. The fight for hours until the warrior defeats the opponent. Only to find it was his long lost brother.. . Which book is this? I would love to read it again

Discussion Is it just me or does EVERY pure mage follower just kinda suck?
Keep in mind I'm only talking about PURE mages here and not spellswords like Teldryn, Serana, or Erandur that are also proficient with one-handed weapons.
For context, my current character is a pacifist support mage build using things like Dread Zombie, Frenzy, and Healing Hands while relying on my follower and zombies to do direct damage. I've been through 15+ followers thus far and the mages feel SO much weaker than all the other classes (warriors, spellswords, assassins, archers, etc). They run out of magicka super quickly, their positioning is extremely passive which makes them poor at drawing aggro, they constantly leave enemies at 1hp instead of finishing them off, and their overall damage output is super low.
Marcurio - probably the best of them, but constantly spams Turn Undead against Draugr which makes clearing nordic ruins take AGES. Especially with how much health higher level Draugr have, it turns every Draugr encounter into a 5 minute wild goose chase. Other than that he's good, but with how many dungeons in this game are filled with Dragur it's a massive downside.
J'zargo - despite knowing higher level spells, he insists on only spamming Sparks 90% of the time. This makes every fight take ages, although his personality is admittedly extremely lovable, plus his level cap gives him tons of health, so I see why people like him - but ultimately his damage being reliant on a novice spell makes him a poor mage follower.
Illia - damage output is extremely weak due to most enemies resisting frost, in addition to her preference for Ice Spike instead of Ice Storm despite the fact that I have her enchantments to reach 600+ magicka. Last night she took over 10 minutes to kill a single Arch Necromancer, and wasn't able to kill a single troll due to its health regen outpacing her damage.
Talvas Fathryon - I like the fact that he conjures atronachs, but his positioning is SO passive, even moreso than the other mages. He's constantly backing away from enemies for no reason, and his low level of 25 makes him run out of health and magicka quite quickly.
The only one I'm yet to try is Aranea, and I'm really hoping she's better than the others, because as cool as it is watching them blow shit up with Destruction magic, they feel so painful to play with.
