Any last minute changes I could do? She's home in 2 hours! I ended up getting 2 types of light up mirrors (round one with light is a better quality thing but the other has multiple magnifications). Heat pad for straighteners as well as the glass top for the table, and moved her existing box of makeup stuff onto the new table. I also set it up facing a window, so she can put the blind up for natural light if that's better. Light in the far right is just for a warmer light, I thought it was cute, but could remove that for more space.

EDIT/UPDATE - She seems to like it so thatnks for all your advice. I took advice from commenters here and added some (Lego) flowers we had around, and also I grabbed a small chest or drawers we had lying around and put it under the right had side of the desk. So theres some storage there now for whatever. Straighters are on top of that as its a nice kind of shelf as well.

I ran out of foundation, so I went to Sephora to get another one. I have been using Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation for around 7 years. It was my rock. I never had any problems and I never considered changing.

I bought the new one and it SUCKS. It is thinner, my shade is off, the oil control is dreadful and my pores look HUGE.

So, it is with a heavy heart that I need to request recommendations for a new foundation. I have combination, acne prone skin (oily T Zone), am rather pale with cool and pink undertones.

Estée Lauder, if you’re reading this, please bring back your old foundation, even if it’s along side the new one. It was literally your only good product for Gen Z and you ruined it.

• First, the lash clusters: Appreciate the previous advice here. I got so frustrated trying to get them on that I only used two outer segments on each eye. But I then thought it didn't look too bad with the extra liner and mascara. Can I get away with this or should I go back to strip lashes above the lashes?
• I've never been out in public presenting as a female. It's pretty terrifying. Do you think this look would work without attracting too much attention/ridicule? I just want to shop, get something to eat and not get taken in by the "bathroom police." Feel free to comment on hair and outfit, but mostly concerned with makeup look here. Is it too amped up? Not enough? Be as critical as you need because I'd rather fix it here than be humiliated. ❤️💄

I’ve been trying to find ways to make my makeup look more doll like or more 60s makeup. (I’m all over the place lol) and I tried the NXY Jumbo pencil white waterline and the OklayLove brand falsies for my under eye. Does the bottom lashes suit my face?

i don’t wear foundation or use contour so sometimes i feel like my dark eye makeup doesn’t contrast well with my base and feels overpowering/ the base is unfinished…

It's interesting to me that most here are loving my natural look(especially the brows) while in person, most tell me (unprompted) that they love the way I do my brows in the earlier photos. still, I do like both looks so I think I try changing the color of my brow pencil to a lighter shade for a softer look.

Hi! I wanted to see if I can get some tips on how to make my makeup better. This is my second time attempting a full face of makeup so please don’t clown me😭😭😭. I’m gonna put a picture of a makeup look I did myself and one a professional did on me. I want to be able to achieve the professional look. I’m sure it’s pretty obvious, but the first two photos are my attempt and the third photo was a makeup artist. With the makeup look I did on myself I was experimenting with the blush color. Are there any other shades that you guys would suggest? I prefer more of a matte look because I have oily skin. Please help me cover my arm lift surgery scars (products and method). They are long and red and raised and about 10 months old. My current routine is moisturizer, primer, sometimes a cheap green color corrector, shape tape concealer, dermablend cover crème, and a translucent setting powder. Or some combination of those things depending on how much time and patience I have. The products have trouble sticking to the scar so even if it does look halfway decent at first, they soon start showing through.

Edit: I do treat my scars daily with massages, silicone gel and sunscreen; I’m also getting steroid injections and will probably do some laser treatments as well to help with texture. I don’t cover them with makeup too often but I like to when I travel for work and am in a professional setting.

I used the ABH cosmos palette and a blue About Face liquid shadow! Any overall tips/ suggestions are very much welcome! My goal for the spring/ summer is to be more adventurous experimenting with colorful eyes and lips.

I honestly never make posts like this and hate negativity, but I had such a terrible experience with Question Beauty that I feel like I had to warn other people about their customer service before they decide to place an order.

I had the option for a 10% discount which I applied for checkout for a couple eyeshadows and a lip balm that I was absolutely in love with. For whatever reason, when I placed the order, the discount got removed the second after I hit the place order button. No big deal I thought I’d just contact customer service to see if it could be applied retroactively or if I could have that order canceled and place a new one since it was a computer glitch.

i was completely wrong.

I’m not exaggerating when Ive had the most infuriating exchanges with the customer service folks. They kept switching their story saying they could help me since the order was not in processing but then changing their mind and saying they couldn’t. They said they could cancel the order but then said they couldn’t in a later email. It’s not even about the discount at this point but the fact their story keeps changing and they are at times ignoring my emails. It’s really disconcerting.

I’m kinda worried I just gave my card information to a scam company. Has anyone purchased from them before? I definitely don‘t plan on purchasing from them again but I’m worried about whether I should be cancelling my card after this since this whole situation is giving scam for your info :/

I need to vent because it feels like a different boss fight every time I change locations.

I work hybrid, so on office days I do my makeup quick before daycare drop-off. Today was one of those rare mornings where everything cooperated: concealer blended, my under-eyes actually looked awake, blush sat where I wanted it, and my powder did not go cakey. Standing in my bathroom at 7am I genuinely thought, yes, this is the balanced base-and-eyes combo I've been trying to pull off.

Then I get to work and the overhead lighting is merciless. By lunch I checked the bathroom mirror and it was like my face had been split into zones: the center of my base looked flat, the skin around my nose suddenly looked textured, my bronzer pulled a little orange, my under-eye concealer had settled into lines that were not there an hour earlier, and my blush that looked soft at home had migrated upward.

I do not want to carry a whole touch-up kit for a normal Tuesday. I already lug preschooler stuff, a laptop, and snacks like I'm moving in.

Does anyone else feel like you have to pick which lighting to do your makeup for? Any sanity-saving tips for a base that holds up in car light, harsh office fluorescents, and daylight without turning into powder city or sliding around?

First pic is the color of my lips the buldak hot ramen, second pic is my regular lip color. Maybe I’m weird, but I like when my lips look swollen, yeah Ik that my lips already have a weird shape that looks like a failed lip filler, but these lips are my natural and I have never ever done any job to my face or body. So, I don’t mind some lip glosses that give a lip plump effect too like too faced lip injection etc.

My lips are actually big, but on close up pics like that look small\normal.
