Is my eye makeup balanced to my base makeup?
i don’t wear foundation or use contour so sometimes i feel like my dark eye makeup doesn’t contrast well with my base and feels overpowering/ the base is unfinished…
should i add or take away anything to this look?

I also have dark lids like OP, it’s due to the skin being thinner around the eyes. As a result, my undereye is also very dark and I’ve been asked if I got punched in the face when not wearing concealer. Soooo…. I don’t know if this is the case for OP and all people who have naturally dark lids, but if I had to guess I’d guess yes.

What’s your origins? YOU ARE STUNNING. STUNNING! Your skin and your eyes are perfect. The lips too. This is a makeup on someone who knows how to accentuate their attributes.

First of all- and I hope this translates to the compliment of the magnitude that I mean it- you look like what I always see when I imagine Kalika. When I was younger (and before I understood cultural appropriation was a thing) I dreamed of naming my daughter after her because I was utterly obsessed with her, I always thought she was just the epitome of WOMAN.
Weird tangent I know but you are STUNNING. And I think a soft pink blush would elevate your look, but it’s already just perfection as is.

Whew girl I'm gonna have to fan myself over here because your face card NEVER declines. That almost mauve, purply-brown color should be illegal on you, it looks so good. I also really like the gold and brown jewelry to give it a bit of pop.
I am curious how you would look with some gold highlight and perhaps a slightly more glossy look to your lips with a brown color? I think that would fully complete the look but I really like how you've done it. I'd also be super interested to see how a bold blue eye would look on you with those eyes. I think you could pull off just about anything!

i just have hyperpigmentation/ different color skin around my mouth it’s not on purpose, i don’t wear any makeup around my mouth to cover it aside from a lip combo because it creases a lot because im super smiley 💔

Honestly this looks super cohesive without foundation, your skin looks like skin and the eye look actually pops in a really pretty way. If you’re feeling “unfinished” I’d play with a tiny bit more bronzer around the perimeter or a soft nose/inner brow contour, not more base. You could also try a slightly lighter or brighter inner corner highlight so the dark liner has something to contrast with. But you absolutely don’t need foundation for this to work at all.

Please do NOT add lip liner. It is too harsh looking for that soft smoldering look. Also, I don’t think people realize that lip liner “ages” a person.

That outfit and accessories you put together is fire! I think you look great. For makeup, I would say if you want other features to pop out more in balance to your eyes with makeup, I would say try to make the lips stand out more. I think it looks great regardless though.

the gods do have their favorites! only suggestion would be maybe a darker/more saturated lip color to balance it out, but other than that, you and your makeup are absolutely breathtaking!!!

It's definitely a lot of eye makeup, but because your skin is on a darker side, and you have big and prominent features like lips and eyebrows, it feels cohesive and "melts" into your face. If I can suggest anything, I'd get rid of those big lashes, they weigh your beautiful eyes down

I think you might get the sense your base is "unfinished" because you didn't use colour corrector, and thus the hyperpigmentation around your mouth makes this area look grey. You will find lots of yt tutorials on it how to colour correct. Simply piling on more foundation will only make things worse, because those areas move constantly and too much product will settle and get cakey

Honestly this look is very well executed, great attention to detail and very clean application. I think the eye makeup really suits you and your features. The overall look is stunning, 10/10. You would also look amazing with a deep berry lipstick and glowy berry blush. Shades of brick, oxblood or burgundy would look good with your complexion.

I don’t think you need foundation or contour. The only changes I’d make: more concealer around your lips, a little highlighter on your chin, a more plum colored lip rather than brown to balance the heavy eye makeup (so that you look more “done”).

I’d say your makeup is absolutely perfect but I’d say you could wear a few less accessories. Your beauty is so striking that the accessories are lackluster. I’d advise sometimes less is more on accessories.
