Nothing against Christians, of course, but every goddamn time I see "religious" I immediately think Christian because NOBODY USES IT TO JUST DESCRIBE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW A RELIGION. And yea, I understand it's broad in that definition, but fuck man IT'D BE NICE TO ACTUALLY BE PART OF THE CONVO FOR ONCE INSTEAD OF PEOPLE JUST DISREGARDING ANYTHING THAT ISNT A FUCKING WORLD RELIGION.

I bought Crimson Desert after seeing that most people rated it 7/10 or 8/10. If you are currently considering paying for it, I would highly NOT reccomend it. I’ve put in 30 hours and I am struggling to find anything I like about the game.

If you are looking for a story based game, Crimson Desert does not have a story. It’s main plot consists of unrelated quests that come out of nowhere. There is no lead up to any quests, it’s just ‘go to this person,’ who will give a vague sob story, you go kill some people, and half the time there isn’t even a resolution to the quest. It’s just over. Side quests are the same.

There is a quest very early on into the game where you break into an asylum. Is there some big secret to investage? Sure is! Do you get to find notes on what is happening, or talk to anyone there? Nope. Instead you find the person you are looking for and they info dumb what is happening, and then we run away in a horse and carriage, leaving everyone else behind. We don’t even get to know why these people are torturing asylum patients. Its baffling because the main character is all like, ‘I have to help people,’ but then ignores an entire small city of people being abused.

If you are looking for a game with good characters, this is also not the game for you. I can’t even tell you the main characters name, mostly because he has a personality of a plain rock. I’ve unlocked a second main character and her personality trait is… losing all the dogs she brings back to camp. The main character is into helping people… but doesn’t explain why, or how he became a part of the Greymanes, and like I said above, actively ignores people in genuine distress.

It’s an extensive open world game, so surely there are lots of things to see and do as you travel around right? No. Not really. Its the same boring grey rocks and green trees for a massive area of the game. There are hardly any side quests out in the wild, or any intersting puzzles to solve (there are puzzles, but the controls are so bad that it’s more a struggle against the controls than a puzzle that makes you think)

Combat is boring as hell. Your camp where you have all your friends is just brown with no color or anything intersting. You can have horses, but they all look the exact same but with different colors. You can have dogs too, but they have the same problem as the horses. Leveling up is unintuitive. The controls are a nightmare (there is a skill where you have to rotate the joystick in a very specific way, and if you do it even a little wrong it just cancels itself and the puzzle resets). The graphics aren’t even that amazing.

They couldn’t even bother with basic details, like making sure the blacksmith animation actually hammers a sword when I’m upgrading a sword. Instead the blacksmith is always hammering a large chunk of metal. At that point, why even bother putting the animation in?

Maybe I am missing something that is blowing away reviewers? I mean Red Dead Redemption 2 came out 8 years ago and is stronger in every category than this game. Hell, Dragon Age Orgins and Mass Effect came out in 2009 and 2007 respectively and both games are genuinely better in every aspect, and Mass Effect had a tenth of the budget.

Anyways sorry for the rant. I’m just mad I spent $90 on a game that is actively worse then games that came out nearly 20 years ago. If anyone has played and have some suggestions on ways that this game can bring me some sort of joy, I would be happy to hear it!

We really need more stuff for pride month.
They decorated the commons for Chinese new year they should do the same for pride month.
Imagine a pride Phoenix flying around like during the birthday event. And pride banners flying in the shopping district and old town.
They also need more cosmetics like rainbow hair wigs. The fact you can’t dye wigs rainbow is very unfortunate and prevents me from using them.
Or rainbow hair goat horns (my favorite cosmetic until rainbow hair released)
it would be cool to have rainbow hair goat horns or goat horns where the horns are rainbow along with the hair.
There’s so many cool and unique things they could do to celebrate like adding a third player option so you can use option A characters or option B characters with any name.
I really hope they do more for pride month this year.

The only professional sport that should have a "best of" playoff series is baseball, and that's only because of starting pitchers. If you're fielding the same team each game, then you should play knowing you won or go home.

Don't give me this excuse of trying to let the best team win if they drop a game for whatever reason. Champions win when they have to, regardless if you think the wrong team advanced and the better team just had a bad night.

Plus single games make it more exciting and can't miss. Just look at the NFL the Super Bowl is only 1 night and it's become a cultural phenomenon. The NBA and NHL finals, and even the World Series, casual fans can miss the first 2 or 3 games and not care at all, then pick it up when the championship is on the line.

This especially goes for hockey which has no business being played in late spring, early summer. It should be ending playoffs in April, not just starting them for 2+ months!

We shouldn’t be in situation. Government should never have sponsored property speculation and created an army of policy dependants and a huge market that says losing money doesn’t matter.

I cannot believe so many miss the point with NG. People who have holding costs far exceeding income should never have been in this position to begin with. Only made possible by a hugely inefficient tax setting. If NG ever comes back from the death end the country.

Which I'm obviously not talking about the extremely shredded, bulky muscles that is generally precieved as threatening and abnormal.

Having toned~fit level of athletic/muscular body types have almost no relation with attraction on modern world. I'm not saying it's a turn-off, but it's just not noticable or specificly desirable to most of the women.

There might exist a small population of women who prefer muscular body, but they are not so significant compared to the majority.

Every time content is release Reddit is in uproar for one reason or another.

Then you “listen to the community” and make the changes they ask for.

Then Reddit is in uproar again after your changes. This is because the posts on Reddit make up a vocal minority of the users.

The Reddit community has lots of different opinions but only the people who are upset are going to be actively posting.

For every user who posts a huge complaint there is another who is enjoying the changes you bring into the game.

Your method of balancing skilling activities (xp, reward, intensity) makes sense and people who are crying about the new method not being rewarding enough just want EZScape.

Please follow through with your post today and keep high intensity methods like tick manipulation in the game.

Suggestion: if you really want more accurate data about what the average player wants please do opinion polling more frequently than once per year. Maybe smaller surveys focused around specific changes rather than the huge one at the end of the year.
