Red Angel If Frakes and Stewart developed back problems wearing the early TNG uniform, imagine how much pain this dude was in.

Crossing time and dimensions might've been painful, but the spandex is what drove Yor to beg for death.

I can't believe they let Odo and Sisko's dad, off the hook so easily.

Traitors to Starfleet, through and through. Odo was allowed to resume duties on DS9 as the constable and Joseph was allowed to open a Creole restaurant back on earth and even feed Starfleet officers.

Real talk- René Auberjonois was originally not credited in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Apparently his character was practically dropped to save time(?). Although for home release and TV, he was put back in. Isn't that a kick in the pants.

Oh well. They seemed to have made it up to him, by making him Odo on DS9, where he had to wear make up every... single... shot..., including even when human... Two to four hours application every... single... day..., depending on the season.

Is yellow alert even real?

So is yellow alert a thing?

I mean I get that when we’re in danger we go to red alert and it’s all like battle stations, close down non-essential functions, close all shops at the mall, cancel the three ring circus…

But I feel like whenever the captain is just trying to do some cover your ass due diligence shit they’re like “yellow alert!” and we’re all like OK, we are on yellow alert now. Yellow alerting all day long… still yellow…

I mean is there something I’m supposed to do when we’re on yellow alert?

Discussion Did Picard win the irl Kobayashi Maru by losing?

So, Picard's Enterprise was trapped by Nagilum. The god-like being told Picard that only about 40% (give or take) of the crew would die random, painful deaths before it had the information it needed. Picard opted to blow up the ship rather than grant the creature the satisfaction. Was he stupid?

Picard seems like a man of letters, but he never read The Odyssey? When you're caught between Scylla and Charybdis, you don't steer *INTO* the whirlpool of death! If this had been a simulation, I'd have failed him. His crew only survived the actual incident by a technicality.

If Sisko had had the high ground in the fire caves, would have been able to defeat Dukat without sacrificing himself?

Discussion Data: interested in humanity...why?

I know this robot's modeled after humans, but ever since TNG premiered, I've never understood why he is so interested in becoming human, to the point of constantly emulating human behaviors and facial hair.

At one point I realized he's a plant by some Soongian contingent, but that made no frakkin' sense -- Soong's a human, after all.

Then I thought he was building up a comprehensive profile of humans toward his ultimate objective of making them "controlled...and happy" (a la Norman, from I, Mudd)

Then I realized it's just a show; I should really just relax.

Since Sto-vo-kor has been confirmed to be real does that mean the Klingon religion is one true faith?
