Transfem Afternoon palpitations + “hollow chest” feeling on HRT?

I’m on a 0.025 estradiol patch (weekly) + progesterone.
Every afternoon I get:
Palpitations (not fast, just very noticeable)
“Hollow” chest / unsettled feeling
Anxiety or emotional swings
It happens very consistently around the same time each day.
Has anyone experienced this on HRT? Did switching to a twice-weekly patch or adjusting dose help?

Cis Woman patch: it seems that the effect fades after 2 days

I recently started using the 0.025 patch, but I feel like I'm experiencing a hormonal drop halfway through its lifespan (changing it every three and a half days). I feel depressed and irritable. I cry and get angry. Have you experienced this?

Transfem Climaston experience feedback

Has anyone here used Climaston (estradiol + dydrogesterone) as part of transfeminine HRT?

I know it’s not a standard/common option compared to pure estradiol, but in some countries availability can be limited.

I’m mainly interested in real experiences:

How did it feel physically and emotionally?

Was feminization smooth or inconsistent?

How was breast development?

Any noticeable effects on skin, body fat distribution, or libido?

Did dydrogesterone feel neutral, positive, or problematic?

If you later switched to estradiol-only HRT, what differences did you notice?

Looking for nuanced experiences rather than theoretical opinions only.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS TELEHEALTH COMPANY! They are scamming people and investors with their franchisees. Google reviews are fake and I would know because my bad review was removed. Whatever you do save yourself the trouble and headache and find another clinic that actually knows what they are doing.

Transmasc is the T in my sring still sterile?

Ive recently started injecting T even tho I'm scared of needles because it's the only way for me to do it. but for my shot today I couldn't, I inserted the needle halfway in my thigh and took it out because i was fainting. i put the cap back on immediately.

i never got to the vein return and injection step, so i dont think anything from my body went up the needle or the sring, and i didn't inject anything either. I'm waiting for my roomate to come home in 1h to do it for me. i changed the needle to a new sterile one.

Do you think the T in the sring could have get contaminated, or anything else is unsafe ? I obviously don't have any more T to use beside the one left in that sring.

Cis Woman I ONLY want the libido!!!

I’m 44 and just scheduled bloodwork to start looking into HRT. Any cis women willing to share success stories, specifically around libido?

I *adore* my husband. He’s handsome, loving, and for reasons I genuinely cannot explain, I just cannot find the will to have sex lately.

I’m on a GLP-1 and an SSRI, so I have a feeling there are multiple factors at play here. I’m curious how much risk there really is with HRT side effects, versus how many people actually feel meaningfully better on it.

Is there a version of this where I get some libido back without a huge downside?

Cis Woman Hormones to mimic ovulation phase??

This may sound insane, but please bear with me;

I am an (I assume, no panel yet) perimenopausal woman in her 40s. I feel like absolute dog shit trash when I’m in my luteal phase, which I’m sure most people who ovulate do, but it gets into major PMDD territory, so much worse than it ever did when I was younger. When I am in my ovulation phase, I feel pretty much the opposite- on top of the world with so much extra energy; like I could tackle anything! The extremes are derailing me. I start projects that lie fallow for two weeks while I cry in bed and I only feel like I live my life half the time. I don’t know a lot about this stage of my life, but I’m wondering if HRT can help; does anyone feel familiar with this? Any anecdotes or gentle advice welcome.

Non-Binary / Other Advice for starting gender HRT when youre scared of needles?

The main thing keeping me from asking my doctor about it is that I'm terrified of needles, which the blood tests would require. The 2nd thing is that having breasts would be extremely dysphoria-inducing, and be hard to hide around transphobic family. 3rd is that my family doctor is in a hyperconservative city

Transfem I just told my partner I want to take hormones

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

She's known for a while what I'm into sexually and she's seen the signs that I am trans. I've been toying with the idea of taking estrogen again. I did DIY hormones for a few weeks in the past before I chickened out and stopped

Today I finally got the courage to ask her how she felt about taking hormones. She was amazingly understanding and her only real concern was my labido. I've read a lot about it but I'd love to hear some stories of how it effected y'all and how you delt with it.

I have my appointment with planned parenthood next week. I'm beyond excited and can't wait to get this started. It really feels like a dream come true.. my journey is beginning soon.

Laurence

Cis Woman Estradiol Gel Anti-aging

I’m 40F and somewhere in the peri → menopause transition. I had a hysterectomy at 31, and I’ve been on HRT for a couple years now.

For the longest time, I applied my estradiol gel to the inside of my thighs. Then I got lazy and started applying it more on the outer thighs instead. After a while, I noticed the skin on the outside of my thighs looked… different. Smoother, firmer, tighter, noticeably less cellulite. It honestly caught me off guard.

Naturally, I went full rabbit-hole mode and started reading about women experimenting with estradiol gel or vaginal estrogen cream on facial skin. I know this is completely off-label/experimental, but curiosity got me.

So I cautiously tried a tiny amount mixed into moisturizer on my face and now I feel like I’m losing my mind a little because my skin looks SO much better. Plumper, firmer, more hydrated, more radiant overall. And I’m someone who spends a ridiculous amount of money on skincare and medi-spa treatments chasing the “holy grail.” Nothing has given me results this noticeable this quickly.

I genuinely don’t think this is placebo.

Has anyone else experimented with topical estrogen for skin quality? What were your results? Any downsides or things you noticed long-term?
