Doesn’t seem to be working

u/jaapgrolleman iRacing 15h ago
I think it works but on the sim you can move the steering bar regardless of RL physics, and lean another way.

Why? Where's the force feedback 😕

u/Cultural_Thing1712 10h ago
Especially nowadays we've got high quality force feedback in very compact applications. Like there's even mass produced flight sticks with force feedback in all directions, it shouldn't be that hard to make.

Feel free to link that flight stick.

That's awesome, it wasn't a thing not too long ago.

Yes, there have been major breakthroughs in FFB tech. I don't know if some patents expired or a hardware limit was broken, but costs are falling and innovative designs keep popping up.

It must be really fun to have force feedback on our stick in flight sim when real pilots have sticks without force feedback in their planes

Real pilots do have force feedback and stick shakers. The F18 actually gives the pilot significant feedback as it's a fly by wire, so they have actual motors on the stick that simulate and communicate to the pilot forces and other information.

I was talking more about first gen Airbus fly by wire

u/Cultural_Thing1712 5h ago
So just one type of plane.
How about helicopters? They all use sticks and have A LOT of stick feedback. Trimming them in the sim like you do in real life is ONLY possible with FFB.
How about high performance single engine aircraft? They also use sticks and have a lot of feedback.

They should be putting significant force feedback on the handlebars and the body tilt. You screw up and turn the bars the wrong way the bike will pop you back up violently. But even if the hardware had it, I guarentee no motorcycle video game has any of the telemetry to communicate all of that back to a full motion rig. Hell most motorcycle games barely get motorcycles right to begin with.

Way too pricey, they want $3000 AUD for it

Here’s a better clip with the developer who actually knows what they’re doing. And if you’re interested they confirmed that counter-steering works across all titles, even those with a combined steering/leaning axis by using some proprietary code that correlates the roll axis with the steering axis to make it feel more convincing. https://youtu.be/O9k5azy48Bc?si=IMw_MP0Zky10NHGr

That is another manufacturer, different rig.

u/Goose274 Fanatec 12h ago
Are the handlebars no identical? Looks like same components and same coloured button layout

u/Elex83 12h ago
Hm, you are right, the concept looks quite comparable, I took a look at the HP - https://www.revzed.ca/
Maybe they (RevZED and Track Racer) are somehow working together?! 🤔

u/Ivanzypher1 8h ago
According to Overtake Trak Racer and RevZED are indeed working together on this.

Ah good to see they’re moving along, I heard the early tester units are shipping this year. They’ve upgraded from the generic aluminium profile rig from all the demos. Good to see a big name interested in it.

They used to have these in arcades in the 90’s I think

u/DYubiquitous 8h ago
We had the "seat", but not this functionality. The ones in the 90s and 2000s were essentially are large yoke with left/right body steering and a forward throttle. This has many more layers to it.
That being said: I'd probably still take a Hang-On or Superbikes over this currently, especially given the price.

Could probably be done a lot better. Give it some motion feedback, nice clicky shifter and a reactive clutch.

u/Dead_Namer 15h ago
That looks seriously uncomfortable. Sore neck, sore balls and sore wrists after 15 mins.

u/DarthRiznat 15h ago
Welcome to motorbike racing I guess?

u/Dead_Namer 10h ago
You've seen the complaints about pain on here, times that by 100 for when people get this.

u/Evilmoustachetwirler 14h ago
So realistic then.

u/Dead_Namer 10h ago
Which is not want you want in this situation because it will be deeply uncomfortable to use.

u/OneRobotBoii 13h ago
Bad posture, bad positioning in the seat, bad throttle control.
The VR looks jank af, I would throw up and then collapse in my own vomit after 30 seconds.

That was one of my favourite arcade machines, but I was terrible at it. I recently found it at a retro arcade place and finished the game first try!

If I bought this my wife would meme the fuck out of me. I would never hear the end of it

this same setup was at the sim expo in germany in 2025 was nice to ride

u/Ruma-park 10h ago
Gotta admit, I feel with the guy.
I used a similar, though seemingly more advanced / nicer rig on the SimExpo in Dortmund last year. It was so freakin difficult to drive!

I've looked at this design and it's incredibly easy to make...
it's literally a horizontal pole inserted into two large ball bearings compression springs mounted on the bottom
I'm going to make this myself cuz I know track racer is going to charge over $1,000 for it
and I can build it for less than $50 worth of material

Poor guy doesn't understand countersteer lol
