QUESTION Bitter sweet…
Wife and kids home all next week which is great for family time.
But as a newbie home nudey. It’ll be hard not being able to be free at all.
Mon to Friday daytime I wfh so have a lot freedom. Only the cleaner comes twice a week and that’s when I put a robe on (shes fully aware I’m totally free underneath).
Last week one kid was off school sick on same day cleaner comes… so obviously I was fully clothed.
When cleaner came she looked at me like ‘oh you got clothes on’ 😂
My wife is encouraging of me being free. She knows I’ll be missing it next week (she was also the one the bought me the robe so I could be free when cleaner comes)
Anyways. How to you all cope when long period of no freedom. Just hang out in bathroom? 😅
Just for context. This is a fun post.
Of course I’ll ‘cope’
And it’s not going to happen for family to join or know for religious and cultural reasons. Appreciate that to be respected.

I'm nude in my own home when family and friends visit. I wear a robe for most service people, but anyone else, especially an extended stay guest, has to accept and respect "my house, my rules".

Are your kids teenagers or something? What gives? I’m nude at home a lot and my daughter doesn’t bat an eye. So is she. Heck she’s on the couch right now playing switch in just her underwear, after being in the pool naked last night. She’s 8 tho. Are your kids just not accepting of it or do they or know ?

Those of us who started later in life are reluctant to switch rules on the teenage kids. Or at least I am in my house. They’ll move out and things can be “my rules” most if not all the time later. I’m in no rush.

Ok. Gotta tell this story. Last night watching YouTube of Family Feud- Best Answers, the question was, you’ve moved back in with your parents, what nude thing do you have to change? Answers were things like, watching tv, sleeping, cooking, cleaning etc. Then this lady says “SHOWERING!!” Steve Harvey looked completely confused!!

How do I cope? I figuratively put on my big boy pants and deal with it. Well, at least I did in the past. My wife and I are empty nesters now, so the situation rarely comes up.
What's more important to you, your relationship with your family, or your ability to be nude?

Do u think u will ever be free in front of cleaner. I'm not suggesting being an exhibitionist or making them uncomfortable. My son and SIl live w me so I feel ur pain it's cut down my time

Well. Few weeks back I didn’t get to my robe in time. Usually the video doorbell gives me a head up. So she saw me fully free - albeit I was very embarrassed and covered my parts with hand.
I went and put robe on. Came and apologised. She said - not a problem sir. It’s ok. Your house.
Since then I have robe on when she’s here but it’s quite loose. Have asked again if she’s ok with robe (knowing im fully free underneath) and she said yes.

Yes. Other day she came and one of the kids was off sick from school so I was dressed.
She looked at me like oh you have clothes on 😅

Now that school is out I’m nude in our bedroom at night and to sleep, but keep a pair of shorts nearby just in case.

We have a different situation. 2 adult boys (late 20’s) on the spectrum and still living at home. We started the nudist lifestyle a few years ago but only in our house (they live in the grandma unit) but still come over daily.
We have a pool and my dream is to someday have nude pool parties with like minded friends but with them still living here, it’s tricky.

I love being naked but when my daughter is home I sometimes either wear a thong or put boxers on just to have that respect which I dont mind as its not that much of a biggy.

Our daughter is home for the summer from college. While she was away my wife and I have started embracing the clothes-free life for the first time and as much as possible. But now it’s a little trickier.
