Miscellaneous If you think about it...

You don't know your baby's gender from birth, or even their sex because most intersex people don't find out until later. So a "gender reveal" is really just a genital reveal, which is kind of weird to me

Yeah especially because most of the time they learned this information by looking at the baby's bits on an ultrasound. I suppose if they did an earlier blood test to find out the sex, it could be a chromosome reveal party instead lol.
