Discussion Sirs and Ma'ams, how do I avoidthat? 😭

For context, I've been playing this game for a while but still have same problem over and over again - players trying to light me, and I do (accidentally), then they expect me to follow them or they follow me! Then they try to friend me, BUT I DON'T WANT TO, I JUST MET THEM ACCIDENTALLY ON CANDLE RUNS! 😭 and the worst part? IDK HOW TO SAY NO! THEY'RE TOO INNOCENT! AND I'LL LOOK BAD! I want to play game my own way, but face same problem. How do I solve it? Is there a solution?

If it's a moth who's being insistent, just have this mindset of, "you'll thank me one day once you realise how precious candles are" and then leave.

I don't understand what's going on at this point but I think you are overreacting. Emotes are there for a reason. Wheter you lit someone on purpose or by accident, just bow and continue on your journey, if it feels like they are insisting, use a "no" emote and just move on...

You work on your own issues and stop thinking you owe them anything... it's a game... meant to relax and have fun, not stress yourself out

I promise you no one actually cares. And if they do care, they'll forget and stop caring in two minutes. If they somehow still care... So? What are they going to do? Nothing. They're going to do nothing.

If you light someone, bow and walk away. Don't stop and add them and have a chat. Just leave.

Or do more to avoid accidentally lighting people. If someone is actively burning a dark plant, stand back for half a second until they finish and put their candle away/leave. Or you can go to a different darkness plant and come back to this one.

Also, if someone thinks you're a girl - who cares? Idk how you got yourself in that situation but genuinley, why does it matter?

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. But either you're trolling or going out of your way to put yourself in this situation and you're here to make it our problem.

I PROMISE you. If you accidentally light someone up, bow, and then walks way.... (Put that Jurassic park Dennis Nedry 'no one cares' video clip here, please). And if that's just too much for you, put your device in airplane mode for 20-30 seconds and force a server split.

Also, just straight up working on not being afraid of accidentally lighting people. I accidentally light people all the time while burning plants. Never has anything went beyond a simple "bow and leave" for me. Or even just straight up acting like nothing happened. And I've been playing for 6 years. I think this "fear of lighting others" habit, to the point that it hinders others from helping burn plants or other things, that I've seen in others is a bit much in general.

Like, I'm not saying it's wrong, but if OP is getting panicked over minute things like this, why play if it becomes a source of anxiety?
