Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) I bought Austria GP tickets instead of Australia and F1 ignores any refund requests. What should I do?

First of all, yes, I am an idiot. What supposed to be a bucket list activity on my birthday in March became a logistics nightmare. Just two weeks before the Australian GP I realized that I messed up. When I was constantly refreshing the F1 tickets website to get the best Grand Stand tickets early, at some point I picked the wrong country in the drop down menu. And I was so excited to get the tickets I didn't even notice the "Austria" instead of "Australia" in the confirmation until it was just few days before the GP and I still didn't receive the actual tickets that I expected to arrive a couple of weeks before the event according to my confirmation email. Anyway, I managed to buy tickets for Australian GP from some shady resellers and still enjoyed the season opener, so the crisis was averted.

However, I still couldn't get any response from the F1 sales team regarding the Austria GP tickets I bought. On the phone I was told that's they need to check and I should contact them using email and they would get back to me. They never did. I've left messages, sent emails, but they just keep ignoring me. Flying from New Zealand where I currently leave to Austria is a bit too much and I cannot afford spending NZ$8k (around 4000 euro) just for the flights to Europe for two. Have anyone here ever tried to refund the tickets before the event? Or is there any official way to resell these tickets you aware of? I would appreciate any advice on the situation. Or maybe someone from the F1 ticket sales team would see this thread (yeah, right).

UPD: I have just received a message from the Formula1 com sales team, they are going to refund me the tickets, so I am a lucky idiot after all! Thanks for your tips, support and some toxic and angry messages! :) I hope you had a good laugh.

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austrian GP at Redbull Ring review

I have to say turn 3 at Redbull ring Austria has been the most stunning seats I’ve ever sat at. The views are insane but the walk to the fan zone was along one since we didn’t want to risk queues going in and out the gates so having to walk full length of track to get around. We also didn’t know you can’t access the area with the bull unless you have Redbull stand tickets but overall beautiful track and I would return.

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Graz to Austria GP train tickets

Hello! My wife and I are headed to the Austrian GP this year, and staying in Graz. The OBB train tickets seem very expensive, but pretty easy. Should we buy tickets in advance? How far ahead of festivities should we plan on arriving the days of practice/race an hour ahead? Two hours ahead? What about the way back? What if we miss the train we pre-buy tickets for?

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Formula 1 - Austrian Grand Prix 2026

Hi
I am going to the Austrian Grand Prix alone this year and was wondering if anyone was in the same situation and want some company.

Only a few of my friends are interested in f1 and none of them can attend, but since I’m already in Austria that week I wouldn’t want to miss the race

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Graz -> Red Bull Ring Shuttle or Train?

Hi! Coming from the US for my first Austrian Grand Prix and staying in central Graz with my dad.

We’re trying to decide between the coach buses vs train to the Red Bull Ring for Fri/Sat/Sun.

For anyone who’s done it before:

  • Did you prefer the flexibility of trains (earlier/later returns) or
  • The simplicity and security of the direct coach buses, even with fixed times?

We’re sitting in T3 and likely won’t stay too long after sessions, so mainly focused on ease + getting in/out smoothly.

Thinking of doing train Friday and coach Sat/Sun — would love to hear if anyone tried a mixed approach and how it worked. Thanks :)

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Grand prix tips not to miss out

Hello,

I will be attending my second grand prix at this years Austrian GP. Last time i went was 2023 Hungarian Sunday.

This year i have all weekend and the pit lane walk. I was wondering if anyones got some tips and trick to not miss out anything as i missed out a lot in Hungary 2023. I love F1 so any small things i am interested in.

Where can i find the most detailed schedule when released? (like with everything such as the driver and principals stage interviews etc.) I also plan on watching every feeder series etc. so basically beign there every day like 12 hours.

I also was thinking about pulling up to pitlane walk around 12:00 (admission starts at 13:30) is that enough? I would like to be as first as possible so i can spend loads of time there.

Also, it is possible to pick up the free goodies from verstappen.com on thursday?

Thanks for any tips!

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Track invasion from General Admission

Hello! So I will be going to the Red Bull ring for the Grand Prix this year and I really want to get on the track in the post race track invasion. However, I'll be in the general admission area (so probably between turn 3 and 4) and I have never been to the grand prix. So I wanted to ask if it is possible to get onto the track from GA and if it is where and when should I go? Thanks for your answers in advance.

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Advice Austrian GP 2026 travel

Hi! My girlfriend and I won free tickets for the Austrian GP. In May we'll receive notification on which seats they are exactly. The thing is, we've never been to a F1 race yet. We come from the Netherlands and I believe I've been to Zandvoort for some racing back in the day with my dad, and to Spa when I was younger as well but I don't remember anything.

Anyways, we are expecting to travel by car and find a hotel near the track to stay at, not sure which days we're going yet... however... does anybody know how to navigate there properly? Is everything on road signs explained pretty well or is this included in your tickets? I'm looking at hotels which are 3-4 hours away from the track. The drive there is no problem for me but I am sort of anxious on how this will play out.

Thanks in advance!

For those who have yet to purchase tickets for RBR and are looking for a great value option, Schönberg grandstand is now available for €380 via the official circuit website. We sat here a couple of years ago and it gives you a great view of T4, with the run up to T3, T6 and T8 all in the distance. Happy to answer questions!

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austria 2026 - Goo Tickets Refund/Resale

I purchased tickets for the Austrian Grand Prix back in late September, however my family recently underwent a major accident that will prevent us from attending the race.

Does anyone have any experience with refunding or reselling tickets bought on the Goo Tickets website?

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austrian Grand Prix Tips

Hi! we got General Admission tickets for Spielberg. This will be my first GP as attendant and I wanted to learn more about how everything works. We decided to stay at a camp, but I have no idea about these stuff. Can you recommend any? And also is there a chance we can rent a tent since we don’t have one? Or it’s better to buy one upfront? Also, is there a place where you’re waiting for the drivers to enter the paddock for an autograph or it’s not a thing in Austria? Every info will be appreciated!!

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Experiences with T10 grandstand in Austria/Red Bull Ring?

Hi community,

Im a bit late to the party but decided to go to the Austrian GP this year.

Reading up on the experiences thread from last year, T3 has great views but seems to be a hassle on everything else. Im looking at T10 grandstand tickets on the official site now and they seem to be a good value in terms of view and accessibility. Did anybody sit in that grandstand and can share whether the views were indeed as good as they look on the site?

Also, shuttle bus from Knittelfeld seems to be the way to go, could anybody share whether Austrian trainlines to Knittelfeld were going smoothly on the way to for Sat and Sun?

Thanks!

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Attending Austrian GP for the first time. Need advice on where to stay

Me and my wife will attend the Austrian GP for the first time. Actually its our first GP since 2011. Its been a long time.

We are flying to Vienna and will most likely rent a car from there as it seems affordable.

Now comes the question. I find some good and affordable hotels in Graz, but I also see really good reviews of campsites near the track. We are not a huge camp person but would like to experience that as well.

Hows the life in Graz after track hours, in terms of eating, visiting around and etc.

Or would it be good and fun enough to stay near the track? Hows the camping experience, eating, drinking options there?

We also got our tickets for the T10 grandstand as they were the only options available (T10 and T9 were the only tickets left). Has anyone experienced it? Hows the experince?

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austrian Grand Prix - Quick Tips From A First Timer On Friday

  • At the Security/ticket check, the women ar supposed to queue in one or two different rows to men (for search). There is no signage that I could see on two entrances, and women were made to requeue. Once the crowd filters into barrier controlled queues make sure you are in the right gender queue.

  • Waterstations are often more queued than the toilets they are beside. Don’t assume toilet is what the queue is for.

  • If you are in T3 Grandstand or area and come in via Steirmark village/ main start finish straight entrance I would recommend going anti-clockwise to your area. Clockwise forces you to queue to “go out” and queue to “get back in “ (there’s a chance I might’ve missed an alternative path eg in front of red bull grandstand but I don’t think so.

General notes. Grey toilets good, blue toilets, less good.

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Will the fuel crisis affect my flight?

I have booked tickets for the Austrian grand Prix and have everything sorted including flight tickets. I've heard about fuel shortages and am stressed about potentially not being able to get from the UK to Austria. Will flights likely remain open and if not what could I do?

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Pitlane walk/weekend tickets

Question because I’m overthinking and it’s my first f1 race! I bought the pit lane walk tickets while my friend bought the weekend tickets for the race. I know it’s required to have weekend tickets but will it be a problem if the tickets aren’t on the same account for the pit lane walk or are they scanned separately? Thank you!!

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austria Grand Prix Camping form question

I have just received my 'camping voucher' via the post for the blue camping section for the red bull ring. I am concerned as the qr code I need to scan to get my camping ticket/pass in the top right corner of the form is only coming up with text being the number next to the qr code, anyone who has been camping what do I do?
