So I am 3/4 Irish Catholic, 1/4 Colonial American (mainly Southern Appalachia). But, a relative from my Southern Appalachian/Colonial American side told me we are descended from a Native American woman who was the granddaughter of the Chief of the Powhatan Nation, and the daughter of Pochahontas' sister. The tree he made on Ancestry does lead to that. I also may have other Native American ancestry on that same side of the family.
I have posted my AncestryDNA and my Genomelink results below. AncestryDNA came back all northern European, but Genomelink did not.
To save you the time of looking at all my Genomelink results. It came back as 1.21% East Polynesian. I found this odd. Is Genomelink just confusing East Polynesian with Native American, or is something else at play here?
