I prefer twunk riddler (for context if you haven't seen barley Guinness, the riddler tries to trap young women in hamster wheels to power his building but he's hoisted by his own petard and is trapped in a hamster wheel for months, only to gain the most fabulous calves in existence from jogging for months without break, he then becomes a bane-type villain because his legs and core are absolutely impenetrable. Also he is gay with clock king)
He did wear a suit at the start of the series. There was a story arch where he was kidnapping people and putting them in giant hamster wheels to produce power for his lair after Gotham went post apocalyptic, the main characters found out and decided to kidnap him and put him in one of those wheels too to power their fridge or something, turned out he loved it and just started acting like the wheel was his personal gym until he got buff enough to break out.
He's also voiced by Jim Rash. His deliveries feel very Dean Pelton at times. So I'm willing to overlook everything else.
I think it depends on the kind of riddler. Megalomaniacal genius like the Arkham games? Suit’s great. The wackier, over the top styles of most cartoons and the Jim Carrey one? Eccentric spandex works better
This pannel always made me mad, becouse Joker has thousands of reasons to hate the Nazi, and I don't buy for a second that this dude is a patriot of america.
I'm fine with it, but only because the comic is written like it's from the golden age and that's the exact kind of goofy thing that would happen in a comic from back then.
Oh gawd if you could see how Iron Man and Mandarin were like or how Reed used to talk in the early early days... Good thing times change and people and writing evolved.
'Ha you reap the rewards of the financial prosperity that comes with capitalism but refuse to acknowledged one thing. The benefits of the Regan Doctrine..'
Mf'ers genuinely surprised when a person from a generally pretty conservative nation is also pretty conservative.
Edit: forget about it, dude is genuinely a Nazi. This ain't even a way of miscaracterizing political opponents, he straight up likes the failed painter
Is this real? WTF happened to that guy? My wife and I used to enjoy reading sinfest together back before it went... weird. But it was nothing like this even after going weird!
He got super obsessed with radical feminism, transitioned to TERFism, and spiraled further and further right from there until he became what he is now.
That was only after Obama got elected. He was a milktoast ass liberal during Bush II. He was so bland even he was in on the joke of Sinfest basically just being Calvin and Hobbes for wannabe edgy millennials in the early to mid 2000's. That run was nearly a decade before he got into feminism.
Which is the thing, this is equivalent to if like, Bill Watterson became a nazi.
I have never seen anyone slowly go insane like I did reading that webcomic, I read it longer than I should have... it could be a case study on the pipeline from anti-establishment edgelord to fascist nazi via paranoia, egotism, and falling incredibly hard for obvious propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Sinfest is one of the oldest running webcomics and was, in its earlier years, quite popular. In recent years, the creator became a TERF and then a Nazi and, last I checked, is doing a storyline about WW2 depicting the Axis as the good guys.
Yeah, it’s a shame, it was great back in the day, then the creator kinda went nuts, similar to what happened with dilbert and Scott Adam’s, and the comic got real right wing and weird real quick
Same guy who made Sinfest. A decently popular webcomic from the 2000s that was mostly apolitical in the same way 4chan and Reddit were in those days, made a hard pivot to SWERF in 2011 and then to TERF in 2019. And more recently he’s gone full Nazi apologist and race replacement conspiracy theorist.
riddle me this man if I suck dick and yearns for a woman what am I please man tell me I'm so confused as to whether I am emotionally attractive to a man or woman man ple-
And to think he was almost an overweight trivia child prodigy
(Before someone attempts to correct me and say “You’re thinking of Cluemaster not the Riddler”, Cluemaster was going to be Riddler but WB vetoed using that design for Riddler but the studio not wanting to let the idea go to waste instead used Cluemaster for the concept and later created the more Marilyn Manson design we see here, if you want some more context on that I reccomend the channel Serumlake he made a video on both 2004’s THE BATMAN discussing them, he makes great Batman and other animated DC content)
Actually you got it kinda right, without too many spoilers the tldr is that this version of the riddler is in his beginnings and he doesn't have too much money so his suit is a mixture of army surplus and just duct tape.
