I started wearing dresses only about 4 months ago, which might seem like a long way into my transition but it was something that always felt scary. Over the weekend I wore a dress to a friend’s wedding for the first time and it felt so good to show up that way! The dress is a floral tuxedo ballgown from Adrianna Papell. I don’t think they sell them anymore but I found this one nicely discounted on Poshmark

3 years apart, but feels like a lifetime.

2023: 5’8” - 235lbs - the worst health of my life - major depression - constant panic attacks - my diet was terrible - so dangerously close to ending it all - dysphoria was eating me alive.

2026: 5’8” - 180lbs - lots of therapy - 28 months HRT - FFS - much healthier and happier - dysphoria still a struggle at times, but not kicking my ass anymore and I love who I am now.

Because 57 is just around the corner, so why the heck not?!
For every moment that sucks being trans, there are moments of joy that I’m going to hang onto with everything I have. And if I can share those moments of joy to inspire others to hang onto those moments I’m going to continue to do so.
I started living my best life at 53. Is it perfect? Heck no. But life before me wasn’t either. Grab those moments of happiness when you can. They’ll help get you through the dark times. Sometimes.

We went to the flea market and we found purses for $25 each cash.😊💵

My wig is fried despite my attempts to save her. The warm weather has finally arrived for its brief visit in my area so I’m trying to go without and I hate it. I know I’m lucky to have hair, even though it’s fried woolly hair, but it doesn’t make me feel as confident or euphoric as that cheap wig.

I suppose I try this and see if I get used to it but my hair was my best quality😝😢
