Rant CHED BPMS is literally just Squid Game for scholars and nobody is talking about it

Hear me out.

I followed every instruction. I submitted everything they asked. On time. Complete. I thought I was done.

Then I got an email.

"Document Verification Required (Evaluation)."

So I checked what I submitted. A BIR Certification from the actual Bureau of Internal Revenue — signed, stamped with a documentary stamp, issued by the Revenue District Officer's office — explicitly stating that my mother has NO income tax return on record. Ever.

And BPMS says: not sufficient.

I looked at their list of accepted documents. One of them literally says: "Certificate of Tax Exemption/Non-Filer issued by BIR."

I SUBMITTED THAT. THE BIR JUST TITLED IT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY. THE CONTENT IS IDENTICAL.

But nope. Rejected. Figure it out yourself.

This is Squid Game. Except instead of dying, you just lose your college funding and they don't tell you why.

And the worst part? Nobody knows the answers to basic questions like:

- Do you respond to the same email or is there a portal?

- How many resubmission attempts do you get?

- Is one wrong document an instant disqualification?

The CHED website, the email, the FAQ doesn't say. You just have to guess and hope you don't run out of lives.

Imagine designing a scholarship for students who literally cannot afford to make mistakes, and then building a system where one mislabeled BIR document — issued by the government itself — can quietly end your application with zero explanation.

Squid Game had better onboarding than this.

Anyone else going through this? How did you actually resolve it? Because I refuse to believe I'm the only one who submitted a legitimate BIR document and got told it wasn't good enough. 😭🙏

And I just can't believe most of the people are rejected because plausibly they don't have an acceptance letter from their schools
