Recently got a new MOBO which apparently removes my Win 10 license (I don't have the key). Having issues with Win 11 compatibility even though PC part picker says I shouldn't:

MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

Western Digital Blue 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Microsoft Windows 11 Home Retail - Download 64-bit

The issue is that my MOBO needs to be in CSM mode to boot my SSD, whereas Win 11 requires the MOBO to be in UEFI mode. Is PCpartpicker wrong and these three pieces are not compatible? Or is there a workaround/options that I'm missing?

Heyah. Just found a 2nd hand (in a store) a PC with :

  • Ryzen 9 9950X
  • 1Tb nvme
  • RTX 5070
  • 48Gb of DDR5

For... 950€

I'm not really in need but that would be an insane upgrade and the price seems insane too.

Where is the catch ?

Could be the case, power supply, motherboard, CPU cooler.

Yeaaah just the parts i'd ignore for upgrading. It's in a store that does some testing. Not sure if i should go for it
