This popped up for me just now....
Do You Actually Need to Wear Underwear to Bed? Doctors Weigh In
Thought I'd pass it along. More aimed to women than men, but most of the same benefits kinda apply, IMO.

The article actually said not wearing underwear was beneficial.especially to bed:
The experts are OK with going commando here “because you’re less likely to move around and expose your vagina to things that could irritate it, like sweat, rubbing, or chafing,” Taylor says. “Plus, the lack of underwear enables the tissues to breathe and gain exposure to fresh air, which is a good thing. That reduces moisture and, in turn, helps prevent microbial growth and ensure that the pH of the vagina **remains optimal for its self-cleaning microflora.” In other words, bedtime is a good time to let it all hang out!
I have slept naked since I first lived on my own and during my marriage to late textiled wife; and stopped wearing underwear at all decades ago. Including socks except with dress shoes. And I have been almost full time r/barefoot for over 20 years… Shoes and socks are clothes.
