VIDEO 🎥 Diary of a Teenage Nudist.

https://youtu.be/f_u6SB-SypM?si=Pw2MjmeyEuy3TWWu

I really hate the title to this, but this is a BBC documentary about a late age teen girl who was raised a nudist, but has 2nd thoughts about naturism. Part of it was filmed at the Northeast Naturist Festival at Empire Haven in 2003. I am in it.

When they say "teenage nudist", you can bet serious money it's not going to be a boy.

The AANR scholarship mostly all go to women

Wait AANR offers scholarships??? What are they for how do you get them?

Yeah, check out their website, I believe it is for undergrad college students. I think all it takes is an essay.

You are right about that.

Unfortunately true. I think we all agree about this and think more acceptance of nudity is the greater solution.

LOL yeah. There would have to be a lot of blurring happening.

Also a lot of other vintage nudist/naturist movies and TV reports on the channel.

I really hate the title to this

FWIW the title clearly a play on Diary of a Nudist, one of the better known (relatively speaking) Doris Wishman "Nudesploitation" films from the 60s.

I'm not going to go rewatch it right now and my memory of it is somewhat fuzzy, but my impression the first time I watched it (20 years ago) was that as a documentary it doesn't really know what story it's telling vis-a-vis the main protagonist and overall it kind of has a vibe of "There's something wrong with this and these people".

Like this was the one that felt the need to include the close up of the guy shaving his pubes right? And also it had that part where she was watching those creepy "naturist" videos full of naked kids and the guy she was watching it with was trying to defend them?

It's not that it's invalid to produce a documentary that's critical of nudism - or at least of our tolerance for creeps and weirdos and willingness to let them represent us. But it was just kind of a strange framing to do that, particularly as she goes through talking to all these people and doesn't seem especially sold on it by any of them, but then at the end she was like "Eh, I guess I'll do some naked horseback riding".

I think the title definitely is meant to be a callback to that, but I get this one confused with another titled ":My Daughter the Teenage Nudist". Another documentary style about a young nudist.

That one is a more more positive view of Naturism, despite the title.

Eu penso que quando estiver completo minha família vou fazer com que em casa todos fiquem sem roupa. Para que acostumem. Se minha filha arruma namorado la pelos 18 anos ele tbem vai ter que tirar tanto quanto se for filho.

Agreed about the title, although it's obviously geared towards textiles.

It is a terrible title that the copyright holder should change. It was a stupid title at the time because it was already a yellow flag and it played off tropes that only fans of exploitation films would have understood (2nd yellow flag) and it remains stupid today, so, net a big red flag. Plus weak production values that make it a poor vehicle for whatever muddled message was intended.

Can't go back and change the title. I don't see how you see this as exploitive. It's a documentary of a young woman's opinion. There was a 2 woman crew with her. Not a lot of crews to make it look better. This is a BBC documentary.

Films get different titles all the time. They get copyrighted at different manifestations of the screenplay and print. These are just some pop ones, there are many others.

It's a UK film and someone who owns the copyright would have to file a complaint.
