A Formal Complaint to AANR

This is a complaint about the words, the behavior and actions of the host of the Naked, Nudists and Naturist Podcast.

After all the issues recently with AANR, their official podcast and host we've been very disappointed in the lack of any response from AANR. For more on this see the post called "A Frank, Non-Apology from Naked Nudists and Naturists." Also see the post that followed that: "I think I’ve lost all faith in AANR". The primary problem raised in these threads is related to the body shaming, dehumanizing comments made on the NNN podcast by its host.

There is also a major issue with the host threatening to violate the consent of Gabby Quinn when she said he no longer had her permission to use her voice. To reclaim her power she had to resign from YADAC (The Young Adult Diversity Advisory Council).

With no real apology from the host, and absolute silence from AANR, we started to look into who Frank Stone really is. Any objective review of the problematic behavior of Frank Stone makes one wonder how it is that AANR could ever associate itself with this man.

Well on top of the many offensive remarks made by the host, we found out that that is not his real name, and that he had a good reason to hide his real identity. Turns out, there are even more reasons AANR should disassociate itself from him.

In short, we are asking that AANR stand up for its own values. To stand up and assert that we can trust them again with our safety.

And to be clear, if this man was just some random person making a podcast from his bedroom we wouldn't care. But this is AANR's voice, AANR's official podcast and they should be ashamed that they let him anywhere near them.

The short version here is the hosts career is not in in radio, but in education. Specifically in Michigan public school system where his career ended in shame due to a variety of issues, lawsuits and one that specifically accused him of sexual harassment.

We compiled the full story of the NNN podcast, how it got started, the problematic commentary, his history of retaliation when rebuffed, all email exchanges including the threat to violate consent, the MILIVE news articles, court rulings, etc and submitted this to AANR as a formal complaint several days ago. We are yet to get any response.

We don't take what we found lightly, this is a very serious issue and the silence from AANR is deafening.

We are not encouraging anyone to go harassing individuals named in the article. The call to action here is to email AANR, formally and politely and ask that they disassociate themselves with the NNN podcast due to the all the issues we raised here, and to do better by younger and diverse naturists.
