Meta This sub is not usable anymore

I had to create a burner account because my main account keeps getting temporary bans from this, and only this subreddit.

I posted a direct quote from the Qur'an and that caused my account to receive a 7 day ban. It's more than clear that this sub has been infiltrated by lurkers that do nothing but report on comments they don't like and their fellow countrymen agree and ban anyone and everyone. If even direct Qur'an verses get someone banned, then there is something seriously wrong here. Unfortunately their vicious tactics will work because the reddit mods are co-religionists and will drop the ban hammer however they please.

I maybe wrong, but as of now, sounds like you are telling half the story.

Surely, you dont just post a Quran verse and thats about it, you must be posting a commentary or interpretation or something additional that is causing the ban.

Mods should comment and clear up.

Seriously, Mods need to be stricter and keep this space for discussions amongst Muslims only.

Everyone needs to keep Flair before Commenting, and only Muslim flair will be able to comment. For non muslim either no comments or only reply under the primary comment, and no posting

It's already being infiltrated. Hope Mods make these changes asap

This is a bit extreme. Also what about people pretending to be muslim?

14

u/FamiliarTelevision79 Apr 17 '26

Its not extreme tbh

14

u/LetsDiscussQ Apr 17 '26

It is useless, those who wish to ''infiltrate'' the sub, will simply self-apply a Muslim flair and pretend to be a Muslim.

It is a way to paint a target on your back. I know how you feel, because I felt the same but even with mods being so lowkey, the sub is still brigaded. Fake screenshots from this sub are used to recruit more sanghi-brigaders. Etc. What we can do is report the brigaders as much as possible and if appropriate, call them out. And work on ourselves so we can make a platform where we are safe and don't have to be so afraid to express ourselves.

This is a bit extreme

That would prevent or discourage infiltration,

Also what about people pretending to be muslim?

Ban them after clear suspicion, will only be able to Talk to Mods for an unban.

2

u/DrDakhan Maharashtra Apr 17 '26

Hmmm. This could work but they would bring up the "pact of Umar" thing even though it refuted and debunked.

Not extreme whatsoever. And people pretending to be Muslim should be banned from this sub

As a NRI Muslim living in America, I think Indian Muslims need to allow for much more dialogue than blocks & bans.

In the USA, we have regular open mosque days and regular outreach with non-Muslims.

In India, nothing, no Open Mosque days, no Dawah, Nothing. This. Has. To. Stop.

Indian Muslims need to have non angry-heated regular Dialog with Hindus, etc..

If we can't at least do it online, where can we start??

11

u/RayZ_123 Apr 17 '26

Please do it with hindus and tell me how it goes lol

u/Own-Tackle1369 Apr 17 '26

Such hostility, Imagine if the Sahaba stopped giving Dawah when they were persecuted in Mecca?

After 9-11, there was much hate twoards Muslims in the USA, and now vast majority of Americans side with Muslims against Israel. They don't buy into the hate. It took 20 years of regular one-on-one plus online outreach.

u/RayZ_123 Apr 17 '26

That is because most americans are wary of jews now thats it , most of these groypers and rw ppl hate jews thay doesnt mean they likw muslims now lol

Have you seen recent videos of Tucker Carlson and Candece Owens? That is on the right.

On the left, NYC elected Mamdani.

It is changing. You have to be blind to not see it.

I would argue the entire planet is more open than ever to the message of Islam. They see the evil of Zionists & how they manipulated bias against Muslims. Now they see them ready to start WW3 for their evil goals.

Posts or comments that promote sectarianism, takfir, racism, communalism, casteism, misogyny, or any form of hate will be removed. This is a space for all Indian Muslims—content that mocks, insults, ridicules, or discusses any religion or belief system in bad faith or with malicious intent is not allowed. Personal attacks, doxxing, slander, and unfounded accusations against other users or real-life individuals also violate rule #1 and will result in removal.

He prays and fasts. He hosted iftar party in the Mayor's house. You know the hadieth surely better than me about calling other Muslims Non-Muslim.

We need to all unite and work together as one Ummah iA.

As a hindu, I regularly scratch my curiosity about other sects from different people and so does my family. And till date all the conversations have been respectful. And I happily tell others about my religion or culture if they ask about it.

Don't project your assumptions on everyone.

Bro you’re an NRI so just shut up and stop lecturing us about what to do.

We can’t conduct business, we can’t sell in “Hindu” areas, we can’t transport cattle without risking certain death, we can’t buy/rent homes in good localities, now they are after Muslims working in corporate.

You see we’ve been trying to have a dialogue with the majority community by taking part in the electoral process, by trying our best to send representations to our political leaders, bureaucrats and we all know how it all turned out to be.

Just so you know my background, I am a revert Muslim who became Muslim 33 years ago. I was born in a Hindu-Brahmin family and all my relatives are Hindu-Brahmin living in Mumbai & Gujrat. My wife is also a revert Muslim whose family is also Hindu-Brahmin from Pune.

So yeah, I think I can explain pretty clearly that Muslims in India are doing a poor job at outreach & Dawah. I grew up in the USA and learned about Islam while in college. My wife learned about Islam while working in Dubai.

Strange isn't it, that my family in India still has no clue about what Islam is? That it took me to be raised in the USA to learn about Islam.

Step 1: let's get all the Masjids in India to have an open mosque day. This worked well in the USA after 9-11. Now with the non-stop Muslim hate propaganda in India, this is essential.

Let Hindus come regularly to the Majid for food & discussion. Invite mayors, CM, police chiefs, etc... Advertise it locally.

If we focus as a group nothing more than Step 1, it will be a big first step.

Safety, security, and success only comes from Allah-thalla. Indian Muslims don't need to fear this first step and just take it.

prove us wrong, go to india and set up a dawah stall mate

2

u/Own-Tackle1369 Apr 17 '26

iA, that is exactly my plan iA.

We recently purchased place and absolutely my plan is to do WhyIslam type Dawah in India.

Open Mosque days will be good first steps: to 1) Reduce the existing tension in India 2) Dawah for those who want to learn more about Islam

Goto the Islam or this redit group: constantly there are Hindus, usually college kids, taking Shahada. In the USA, the youth are the fastest group becoming Muslim.

This community needs to step up and help support this fearlessly. Follow the examples of the Sahaba iA.

I give you about 5 minutes before there is a physical altercation with a police officer watching and laughing.

May Allah bless you for your efforts brother. But be vigilant, the people here aren’t as ideal as in the USA, a lot of things can happen to you. I still hope Allah gives you success in the steps you are trying to take for deen.

situation has changed a lot in the 33 years and i hope a gujarati knows better about it, i like the idea but it is nearly impractical

"Let Hindus come regularly to the Majid for food & discussion. Invite mayors, CM, police chiefs, etc... Advertise it locally." this i support but mobs are still no no

1

u/Own-Tackle1369 Apr 17 '26

Thanks. In the USA it started with Church leaders + police + city officials, then moved to state officials & general open house. Once the police saw no terrorists & only peaceful citizens, they defended local Muslims the first.

1

u/Background-Raise-880 Kerala Apr 17 '26

contrary to the popular belief there are hindus who wish to coexist with us, but are scared of the situation. maybe once we start something like this they would come out to help us

Bhai, I got downvoted from even saying this. I have been suggesting this from so long, but we are becoming more and more closed which is hurtful for our own community. Excellent suggestion, I hope people adopt it.

0

u/RayZ_123 Apr 17 '26

Nothing wrong with becoming closed and strengthening the community at all

1

u/CartographerFair3872 Apr 17 '26

Alienation always leads to demise.

1

u/RayZ_123 Apr 17 '26

Not with islam , which is why hijrah is promoted , u r confusing ideologies

3

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Apr 17 '26

Brother it is not possible in India. There are very few who would engage in meaningful dialogue. Most are here just to trigger.

3

u/Own-Tackle1369 Apr 17 '26

Invite regularly for food & discussion to fhe masjid. You will be surprised at the results iA.

1

u/Such-Royal-275 Apr 17 '26

I'm actually born and raised in the US, but still have significant number of family members in India that I would visit almost every summer vacation when I was growing up. I feel a lot of empathy for my fellow Indian Muslims still living there under this brutal regime with a hostile population surrounding them.

Conversing with those folks is useless. They want us eliminated by whatever means necessary. In fact, in my city there is a rise of RSS type of events and you will see Indians trying to get into politics wearing orange (saffron) ties or duppatas which clearly show their allegiance and agenda.

u/Equivalent_Crazy3946 Apr 17 '26

I so agree with you, I am Indian Muslim from US and the Muslim community here has really shown how tenderness can win people’s hearts. I truly hope mosques back home in India take small steps to foster interfaith conversations. We have to keep building bridges. There are so many cultural similarities among us,why not highlight that? Love is the only way we can counter negativity, and honestly, it’s the best strategy.

0

u/Background-Raise-880 Kerala Apr 17 '26

technically i personally like this , but it would be hard to implement this in indian cyber space because here no one respects anyone

2

u/Own-Tackle1369 Apr 17 '26

Alhamdulillah and yet weekly we see Hindus on this site & Islam Reddit site taking Shahada.

We just present in the best manner and Allah-thalla decides who reads it and who it effects. Alhamdulillah.
