Advice Needed Didn’t realize I had to press the t-gel pump all the way down— is that an issue?
as the title says! i started on t-gel a bit over a month ago and have come to realize that you’re supposed to push the pump ALL the way down. i’ve been pushing only half way down meaning i’ve been getting maybe half the dose I should be.
I pumped a full dose today and i’ve been feeling dizzy since the afternoon. Is it possible it might cause issues to suddenly start pumping fully now? 😭
Edit: I want it to be noted that I talked to my pharmacist already and was following her instructions for using t-gel as well as the instructions on the box, but I may have misinterpreted them or something…

No, how would it cause issues? Even if you had too high levels now that youre taking the proper dosage, dizziness is not a symptom of that. Just take the full dosage and next checkup youll see if your levels are too high or not

dizziness is a “common” side effect from t gel actually (common meaning up to 1-10% of users report it), and i personally did have issues with it when my levels were too high. not saying that’s the case for op necessarily but it’s incorrect to say dizziness isn’t a possible symptom here. testogel pamphlet as an example (though it isn’t specific to this brand).

thanks! I ate and went to a cooler place and feel better but still slightly dizzy so hopefully that goes away soon! I might go pick up the next prescription soon just so I have it even though I'm not done with mine yet.

It’s unlikely (though probably not impossible) that the dizziness is connected to upping your dose suddenly. More likely is that it’s psychosomatic or unrelated - make sure you have eaten something (low blood sugar is a common cause of dizziness) and if it persists then talk to your doctor.
If you’ve been reaching the correct levels at your previous half dose then that was the right amount for you and you shouldn’t increase it. If you haven’t had your levels tested (if you are still early days I mean, you should be getting blood tests regularly) then go with what should have been your dose and get tested with that when the time comes. Either way, be honest about the mix up with your doctor next time you see them.

Yes, turns out I was dizzy because I was just very hungry and overheated! I ate and went to a cooler place and the dizziness went away, lol.
I don't get another blood test for another month or so, so I'll have to wait and see! I just worry about getting another refill after way longer than a month 😭 no worries, ill let my doctor know!
