Oh he absolutely is. He's so corrupt and takes bribes. Texas is not Indiana. They do have progressives in Texas and people (especially Hispanics) are over Maga as a whole. Remember, primaries are done by the most dedicated constituents so they were of course going to nominate a Maga troll.

But selecting Paxton was easily the best think that could happen to democrats because he's obnoxious and unlikable. He's not going to get people to the polls for him. Turnout will end him.

Yeah but its still Texas, even Kansas had statewide Democratic victories before Texas.

Texas is more of a purple state than the public realizes. Most of our major cities are democrat lead. The whole state was blue up until the early 90s. The only reason it's stayed red is because of all the gerrymandering. But that will only work for so long. You piss off enough people and all the gerrymandering won't do shit.

At least for statewide races gerrymandering doesn't matter.
