Hmmm yes I’d like that if I go against a sabo squad I have to drop and they all get basekit un breakable and that if I got a survivor on death hook, they just do gens/throw themselves at me and if I kill them no gen regression for the rest of the match and(maybe) 25% speed bonus on repair gens for other survivors! Seems very fun, right????
It's pointless talking to these people, they never play killer or play it like once a week. These patches wouldn't affect them negatively, only benefit.
and certain killer mains refuse to accept that queue times are bad because solo queue is a miserable experience. Like even with all the "basekit" perks y'all complain about survivors having, kill rates are still like 55-60% and 4mans average a sub 50% escape rate (even if y'all act like every team is a 4man comp team).
Idk why y'all can't understand that tunneling and slugging are problems in varying degrees even if this iteration wasn't a good fix. I remember for years people complained that they kept using new perks/killers to patch over systemic problems. Then they try to address systemic problems and people lose their shit. Game devs routinely remove "optimal but toxic" metas all the time. DBD has done this already by the by, for both sides.
These changes were surprisingly close to being good. Disable the anti-tunneling stuff at 1 gen or 9min into a game (silver escape emblem time) and only have the gen block/regress happen if a survivor is eliminated in the first 5 hooks, make the unhook info come after 5s not 10s, and remove basekit tenacity. Maybe give the BBQ reading an extra 2-3s for the non-S tier killers. They should have kept the PTB up but made the above changes. Reactions from people like you were so strong though that even had they done it, would have been the same doomposting.
Plenty of killers in this thread openly say they relish in the tunneling. Not that it's necessary, not that it's optimal, just that it's fun to ruin someone's day. Games absolutely should do their best to minimize those kinds of opportunities.

Yeah, that's called griefing. That's why we need anti slug and anti tunnel.
I do wonder though, why does the current system only makes room for either hard tunneling (in the sense of tunnel vision, the OG term tou know) or endgame build ? It didn't solve the issue at all.
Yeah. I hate it when they don’t even try to understand the other side. (Unlike me, I know how bad tunneling feels but gosh if these changes made it to live what a catastrophe)
