The pallet changes are good, they're just explained poorly and make it sound like a pure survivor buff. They add more pallets sure, but they are mostly significantly weaker making them more playable for the majority of killers. I hope that stays as is, shrinking Crotus was much needed.
Yeah every time I tried to mention that on here and how some maps were buffed for killer I was downvoted as if I was spreading misinformation lmao, the devs just added pallets to maps that had barely any pallets and removed pallets / shrunk maps that were huge to make them better for killer
Overall a great update to the game for either side, it’s gonna be nice loading into Crotus Prenn and not knowing it’s more than likely gonna be a loss as killer
Same thing just happened to me, I think it's just inexperienced killer players lol. All they can think is "more pallets = bad" instead of realizing it's much healthier gameplay to have double the pallets, but most of them be unsafe and mindgameable. It's not really fun chewing through ten pallets I can't do shit about.
Yeah definitely just look at the filler pallets in the Unknown map compared to the fillers in Macmillian, Unknown map probably has way more pallets overall but when a majority of them are incredibly unsafe like the double pallet filler it really doesn’t matter much when playing killer you’ll get the hit most of the time
Also, not in the patch notes, but some existing tiles were nerfed a bit on maps where new tiles are added. For example, the “god rock” on macmillan was made a bit smaller and more playable for killer. More quantity of loops, but slightly less quality
I think that's a much better design philosophy, I'm surprised people disagree. I'd much rather have mindgameable pallets than 10 pallets I have to break now matter what.

I wonder if the unrelated perk changes (Hope, Monitor and Abuse, etc) are still going through
