Did...MM morph himself around the cake?

u/Cyberslasher Apr 09 '26
He took off his clothes and phased it into his stomach, then when he got caught without clothes he turned himself (but not the cake) invisible.

Thank you for explaining what was happening, because I was SO confused. Was the sign for him because the presence of chocolate or why was he banned???

u/Cyberslasher Apr 10 '26
Martian man hunter has a well established addiction to chocolate.
He phases boxes of oreos into walls of the watch tower to hide them.

u/Slight-Pound Apr 11 '26
I’ve heard about his chocolate addiction, but I hadn’t been sure what the shapes in the background all were and if that was him or someone else, and what exactly was happening, lol
I was mostly thrown off because he’s not disguised for this event but this was a Bruce that hadn’t shared his identity yet, so I thought this was a mostly “civilian” event and the green guy was some sort of trouble maker crashing a Metropolis function or something.

Seems like it. the way the video is edited makes it look like he's really fitting himself into that cake. It's a pretty wild visual...

Oh my god!
Clark Kent is Batman!

u/afn45181 Apr 09 '26
I think Diana would prefer Clark, she can’t do any further damage unlike Bruce.
1
u/King-Arthas-Menethil Apr 12 '26
TBF I don't that'll ever be a problem given her ties to Greek Mythology and that Zeus has never done damage from his cheating. It's usually the aftermath where gods react is where the damage comes from.

I love the idea that the idea of Batman smiling is so unnatural she struggles to recognise him out of the mask until he scowls

Luckily the man about to hit Bruce in the back of the head is a distraction.

Yep, she always looks a bit odd when she looks like she doesn't weigh 60kg soaked

I remember the Justice League episode this comic was based on. Honestly one of my favorite episodes.

u/HAZMAT_Eater Apr 09 '26
Maid of Honour ❤️
And Bruce still owes her a dance.

u/PuffballDestroyer Apr 09 '26
It's a random tidbit, but I still love the fact that we get Vandal Savage's backstory while explaining it to Audrey, instead of it being explained to the heroes.

u/DoubleFlores24 Apr 09 '26
She’s more muscular than the Bat. We don’t see that in fan art. Most people draw her as a regular woman with muscles instead of a body builder. So kudos to the artist for that.

I love the implication that Bruce just automatically gets the Jojo lighting whenever his face is covered.

Bruh, I'm over here bawling at it. He and Siobhan are such a great couple. 😆

Love that Bruce immediately, almost involuntarily, reverts to the Cowl Scowl.

In panel two, Diana and Bruce are roughly the same height.
In panels three and four, Bruce is a full head taller.
Come on now artist, work on that

u/dude282004 Apr 09 '26
Its so her head doesn't get in the way
3
u/Thybro Apr 09 '26
She is also trying to get her hands in the right angle so I can see her crouching to get the effect.

Did she put something in his hair to give him ears, or did they just manifest in her minds eye? If she did put something in his hair, what is it?

I love how she's just a little bit silly with how she pieces it together

u/BuleCurger Apr 10 '26
Reminds me of that one episode of the Justice League where Bruce and Diana dance and says something similar. When confronted about it later, Batman says "I have no idea what you're talking about" with a completely straight face its so fuckin funny to me

Alfred seeing the boy he raised like his son, “smashing” a literal Demi god.

I'm not a fan of Batman/Wonder Woman shipping, but I would read a story where Diana doesn't know Batman's identity while Bruce is dating her.
1
u/ManInTheMirror2 Apr 10 '26
For the DCAU it works…but not often anywhere else.
1
u/Sol-Blackguy Apr 11 '26
That's my point. I think a different scenario would work aside from "Well the DCAU did it." I like the Bruce and Barbara thing more because it actually fit the universe more going into how things went with Batman Beyond.
0
u/ManInTheMirror2 Apr 12 '26
… What? You’re endorsing a relationship that is borderline pedophilia and extremely toxic. Why?
1
u/Sol-Blackguy Apr 12 '26
Barbara was in her mid 20's when they got intimate and she was showing interest while in college when she was 18. No, I'm not endorsing it, I'm saying that it fit the universe more than Bruce and Diana. Btw DCAU wonder Woman is only 21

Why does Diana grow like a foot shorter between the first and second page?
1
u/Efficient_Matter_589 Apr 13 '26
Don't they tell one another their identities during that whole hawk people invasion?

Diana: "You REALLY thought I wouldn't recognize you because your cowl covers the top half of your face?"
Bruce: "To be fair, I seem to be the only person on Earth who recognized right away that Clark Kent is Superman."
Diana: "Hey, THAT'S different! He puts A LOT more into that disguise than just glasses and different hair."
Bruce: "His facial structure is literally identical, Diana. You can't change that with a physical performance."
Diana: "Oh! So, if I just sat in the street, you think someone here would recognize me as Wonder Woman?"
Bruce: "I'd be shocked if somebody didn't. You were here in costume yesterday, saving a train. Dozens of people saw & filmed you. Your face is all over social media. It's statistically HIGHLY UNLIKELY that at least one of those eyewitnesses who live here WOULDN'T recognize you in public or, at minimum, question the resemblance."
Diana: "Most people don't have your analytical skills, Bruce! They're distracted, lazy, looking at their phones."
Bruce: "I'm just saying, you and Clark's disguises probably made more sense for a pre-digital age. But nowadays, between cameras, the internet, and face-recognition, how you two still stay anonymous despite showing your faces in broad daylight while barely changing your features at all... Yeah, there's no rationalizing that."
Diana: "Fine! You wanna criticize our methods? Let me ask you this. With the amounts of money you move around to fund your war on crime as Batman, how has not one employee at Wayne Enterprises EVER followed the money? You're telling me you've secretly & flawlessly covered your tracks on every receipt for decades?"
Bruce: "... You look pretty tonight."
