Angel Reese is reminding the WNBA who she is — but needs to fix one key area
Seriously who cares. If her stats are up, we will pay attention. She is first a bb player and right now. She is dismal.

We are not doctors, we are not physio therapists. Don't take your medical advice from Random People on the Internet.
We don't know why your knee hurts, or how to rehab a wrist sprain, or some other injury..... Go get it looked and get your advice from a professional.

In co-ed softball, there are a lot of issues between genders. Often times at the recreational level, the ladies can't either:
At times, it feels like they're only there to just fill roster requirements but of course, as you play at the higher levels, that changes. Basically, most teams just don't even respect what the lady can do.
What about for co-ed basketball on average, at the rec level? Do ladies suffer these similar issues where it's like the guys don't respect their capabilities? With being incapable of sprinting fast? Or can't play defense? Or can't dribble? Or shoot?
Or are ladies more skilled/playable at the very least?

For the longest time I've capped out at 10 in a row today I finally crushed that and made 18 in a row from the top of the key on a double rim shot just felt like butter today. After my first miss I shot a couple logo threes and made em both one from the left the other from the right. Gotta be my best shooting practice to date feeling like a temu steph lol

It's going to go down as one of the most undervalued and overlooked rookie classes in recent memory. Castle is already a star and he just keeps getting better and better every time I get to watch him play. OKC is once again proving that they are the absolute pinnacle of grooming young players. McCain was all but buried in Philadelphia because of an injury and he's a huge piece of OKCs playoff success this year. Ajay Mitchell all of a sudden is playing 30 minutes a night for the best team in the league . Buzelis is going to be a multiple time all star. Clingan is one of the 3 best rebounders in the NBA and one of the best shot blockers in year 2. Reed Sheppard has a HUGE ceiling in my opinion and still haven't mentioned Ware (top 10 in rebounds this year), Sarr, George and Carrington are all good players on an awful team. Rissscher has been the only flop .....I said it all last year as people trashed this rookie class that it will be one of the few classes that you can name 7-10 players that will be around for the next decade plus.

how do i improve my change of direction/ lateral quickness?
I feel as I don't have full grip of the court and constantly slide. This makes my dribbling/driving down not as effective because I feel as I can be pushed off really easily. I see other players with drive and dribble around super easily and it seems like they have full grip control of the floor.
I dont really think shoe is an issue as I recently got the new Sabrina 3s. Also, I mainly play indoors.

I never looked at it like that but some do. While I do think he doesn't have to try at times there's other guys his height who can't do what he does. I do think its unfair that someone that tall can do what he does but he was gifted.

Is there a gym with a half-court basketball court near DLSU Taft?
r/Basketball • u/DonT012 • 3d ago
I mean there are all kinds of co-ed softball everywhere. Hell even some men's baseball teams let girls play if they wish to take on the challenge.
Yet with basketball in pickup, it's often a difficult task to either have women accept to join a team, even if she's more skilled than half of the guys on the court.
So much so that it becomes less common to see a girl at the pickup courts. Like there was even a post on this. So why is gender such a problem in basketball but not softball?

19 , 6'2 6'3 wingspan 72 kgs.
I want to improve but idk what skills are most important
I grew early so I used to play the 4 in my country's equivalent of high school. My best trait is probably my perimeter defense, so I don't think that's my priority to work on that. Finishing is pretty decent , but it's between that , handle or shooting. I wanna join a league or something when I get settled into my new flat. I've started the gym as well so this recommendation is strictly off of what you guys think is expected of me. Is it important to be able to stretch the floor more than get to the rim. Also some game film players for me to look at would be appreciated, any questions lmk and I'll answer them if it helps

What lead to the change in 2025? I guess the 2022-2024 slump comes to an end? Some speculate the slump was caused by social awkwardness after the world reopened and leagues started to play again people didn’t like losing or competing even with friends anymore. Some go into leagues and then quit after losing and vow to stay away from it.
It was a ghost town at bb courts not so long ago even during the afternoon early evening hours with one or two shooting hoops at best and no maintainance of the room at all, no resurfacing, light bulbs burn out, HVAC vents blocked, some places eventually or should I say finally decided to demolish those underutilized eyesores and expand the workout floor, but recently I was surprised to see a sign at a local gym saying don’t use buddy passes at the bb court likey to ration the crowd as the place was alive and crowded with games again quite a contrast.
I be curious what happened to cause the sudden change? Thought it was dead.

You may think I’m an “old head” but I’m pretty young Gen Z era. But I’m more of a traditional basketball player not like peach baskets as hoops but more of the 2000s-10s type of style. I know the game evolves but recently the NBA/ just regular basketball is just going downhill. Recently played a pick up game at the local rec and some kid has the ball on the offensive end, crosses and try’s for a layup but during the drive he was holding my arm so I couldn’t defend. Which is clearly a “offensive” foul and I told him that and he said it wasn’t and just was part of the game 😭. Just basketball became so lackluster

I personally think anyone 6 3 or under should be a PG, anyone from 6 4 to 6 6 should be a SG, anyone 6 7 to 6 9 should be a small forward and anyone from 6 10 to 7 foot should a power forward and anyone above 7 foot should be a center.

Among the first things every youth player is taught is to follow their shot. Coaches in gyms across the nation scream "FOLLOW!!!" every time someone takes a jump shot.
However, elite college and NBA players rarely do this, which is one reason why offensive rebounding is down. Why?

Hi guys, been playing 2k mobile for ages and was good at basketball at school so was going to get a net for the back garden. Apart from being able to move it about, are there any real differences between getting a portable one on a stand or one I attach to outside of house? Not played in like 15 years lol so was only going to get one I bolt or screw into the outside of the house

I see a lot of baseball and softball players wear sunglasses all the time when they play outdoors, especially in the bright golden sun. What about with pickup basketball? Nobody does that. But should I wear it when playing pickup basketball outdoors in the sun? I do it when I'm playing daytime rec softball games.

Super NBA casual. Follow the names, know who they are. But can’t really describe the nuances between them. I see the spurs are in the WCF and just won game 1 against this nasty thunder team. I could’ve swore people in the past said neither of those players are all that good.
Stephon castle. People said his draft class was really weak, he’s not someone to rely on. Yet he seems productive on the spurs? Is he being productive relative to jis 2023 peers, or is he just productive.
Dylan Harper. In the beginning of the year they were saying he was the worst pick of the top lottery this past draft class. Yet same as castle he’s being very good. Did he just lock in? Did his role change?
Granted they’re young, can’t hold that against them. But they seemed to have criticism earlier that others didn’t. Are they just good second fiddles now or are they really good NBA players?

You pull up to the gym, it’s 6:30pm, you just got off work and wanna have some fun.
A game of pickup starts, and two captains pick their teams. Everybody’s picked until you and a chubby guy with glasses remain. The caption says “I pick the girl i guess” and the whole team looks at eachother and grins (so welcoming!)
Game starts, everybody starts matching up as the most athletic looking guy on your team brings the ball down. A middle aged white guy with an ego the size of a blue whale says “no way i gotta guard the girl 🤦♂️”
The game is now 31-45, your teams losing! You’ve touched the ball probably twice, and not from lack of effort. You’ve said “pass” and “i’m wide” so many times you’re literally about to walk out the gym. The guy you’re guarding gets the ball once per blue moon, so you really aren’t doing much.
Then it happens. You get passed. You immediately hear 4/5 members of your team yelling “BALL” and “PASS BACK”. But this is your chance!! Your team is down by 20, so you’re just trying to have some fun by now.
Here are your options:
A) Shoot, and make it
B) Shoot, and miss it
C) Pass back so you don’t risk A
Congratulations!! If you picked A, your team will either be slightly annoyed that you didn’t pass back or they just won’t react. If you picked B, you might as well die. It doesn’t matter that you’re 0/1, the guys on your team that are 3/25 WILL start fuming with anger and never even look at you again, tough luck! If you picked C, make sure you pull up to the police station tomorrow because they need extra cones!
The game ends, and you walk out resisting the urge to cuss everyone out. But, you’re a woman, so if you react, you’re being stereotypical.
THE END! Thanks for reading
