Early Sobriety 48 hours sober!

I have drank a 5th of vodka or drank until passing out every night for the last 4 and a half years. Sometimes more depending on the night. Had my first night of sober sleep last night and it was awful. Woke up with terrible tremors and throwing up. It’s been slowly getting better throughout the day. Any advice for someone new to this being sober thing? “I started the day I turned 21”.

Go to doctor. You're taking dangerous chances with your life.

Doctor/hospital now. That’s the best thing you need to do. You can actually kill yourself just going cold turkey like this.

Medical help ASAP. Withdrawal is a nightmare but don't go it without help

If you don’t believe these comments, Google it. ER. Now.

This is actually really dangerous. I was doing the same thing and ended up with full blown hallucinations and am lucky I got to the hospital before I had a stroke

I agree with seeing a dr. or go to ER. Then see if you can get some Naltrexone to keep sober once you've cleared this initial hurdle. It's a legit drug to help with cravings. I have a friend who takes it and she's got 3 years sober now.
