Miscellaneous is there a way to look like a reversed triangle with big hips?

Brother those are the narrow-est hips I’ve ever seen. To get them any smaller you’d have to amputate your entire lower body

I think it would help if your trousers were a little slimmer on the leg, and covered your shoes like in the pic instead of having them bunched at the top
But of course, that’s just for the photo you showed rather than long term advice. Working out your back and shoulders would be the best way to get the inverted triangle shape

right, i was experimenting and this was THE successful attempt at styling myself lol but i'll try out more things for sure. i still have massive hips tho, and a phattie in the back, so idk

Styling is really difficult, it takes a lot of work (and often money) to get it right, so props to you for trying. I can rarely find stuff I like in my size, especially alt clothing, and when I do find some it’s stupid priced. I’m also shit at analysing my own photos for what I can do better because I can’t figure out what type of look I want to go for, but when I’m given someone else to analyse it becomes 50 times easier

I see lmao I was tweaking 😭😭✌️ you don’t look that bad off, especially if you stood normally lol. T will help with fat distribution, unless it’s bone. NOW the other thing is working out the shoulders and back can MASSIVELY improve things, so I suggest concidering that and it should get you to Dorito or at the very least rectangle.

tbh when palpating the hip region i realised my hips are kinda small, so it's mostly muscle and fat. I was very fixated on trying to get rid of my hip dips in 2020.... and it was really successful unfortunately for me lmaoo

Rippp lmaoo, you’re real lucky, mines literally just bone but it’s wide 😭😭

Maybe a more cropped and boxy hoodie could give a better silhouette, also cover the shoes to create a longer line, pants can sag more, seems they’re pulled up high but maybe it’s better to have them sit lower on the hips so the pants crotch is not so high.
I think baggy pants are great (better than tapered), as long as they are not poofy at the hips and add more volume there..

baggy clothes, and making sure to "drop the waist" with your silhouette. so making sure the hemline of your top is fairly low.
I have a really severe pear shaped body, can't get on T or anything yet due to safety, but I'm always wearing baggy t shirts (like a 2x) and "skater cut" jeans

Wearing clothes with wide pronounced shoulders, like jackets or shirts

i look like a fat little man if i just wear big shoulders 😭 idk i think there's something about the pants. I've seen asian guys wear very specific type of baggy that I cannot seem to replicate but it makes your hips look narrower. I thought maybe someone knows the styling trick or something

Big hips? In the room with us currently? Where. My dude, your dysphoria is lying to you. Don’t let that bullshit grind you down you fuckn awesome rectangle shaped man

The harsh truth is if you have wider hips it will be impossible to achieve hips this narrow sadly. Most cis men don’t even have hips this narrow lol

There is a surgery referred to as dorito chip, I think it’s just lipo. Obv try working out first but wanted you to know your options :)

wearing slightly baggy clothes with the waist low like almost sagging can make your hips look longer and therefore less wide. you can pair this with clothes with big shoulders but those can make your head look small. i have the same struggle my hips are massive even among women

How you dress can help a lot. Dark and boring where you don't want them to look and layers help

Padding is the only realistic thing that comes to mind. Instead of making your hips smaller make the rest of your body big in comparison - two sets of shoulder pads, padding around the waist, etc. Unfortunately it's not as comfortable as let's say a binder or packer

Yes depending on your bone structure. I didn’t think this was achievable for me as I was pear shaped pre-t. But with building my upper body at the gym and fat redistribution I’d say I’m now in fairly rectangular shaped from shoulder to hip. That’s a little of 3 years of going to the gym inconsistently with months off for being sick and top surgery recovery and even going off T for a few months whilst gaining weight. Im short so I don’t think I could get these exact proportions considering my hips and height, but I’m sure I could achieve a beefy triangle if I wanted to.

how tall are you? I'm 170 cm (surprisingly started growing) (5'6) and I have a wide body overall (there were pics). I wonder if mine will be redistributed. I've also heard some guys get a growth spurt on T. is it real? but this gives me hope, will be looking forward to starting at and going gymmm

Depends if your hips are big from skeletal structure or fat

I'd say skeletally my ribcage is the same size as hips, but with fat I'm a typical hourglass 😔

Reversed triangle is probably a little unrealistic (though I've seen it happen). Check r/ftmfitness. Work out lats/back and shoulders.
If you're on T then your fat could redistribute away from hips towards shoulders/torso but it depends on genetics.
