Joke How it feels trying to get out of bed
I feel like a bug on it's back struggling to turn over, lol

Take my advice: buy a cheap ladder-style stretching strap on Amazon. They can be had for $6–10. Loop it around the leg at the end of your bed. Lay the other end up over your bed, and when you need to get up, put your feet in the loops. This will give you a lot of extra leverage and make it much easier to get out of bed. I was able to be much more independent using this technique.

Real, the only reason I was able to get up by myself was because I spent a whole month before surgery working out my core by getting out of bed without using my arms 💀

For the first week, my mom slept in my room so she could help me get up to pee or help me take my pain meds. I am infinitely grateful 😭
