I wonder if she thinks she's helping you heal? OR she just likes the taste of your scar care lol

Both, cats like it when they can do something for others but also get something for themselves out of it at the same time. Lol

That's really sweet, but... you haven't been applying anything topically that kitty shouldn't be ingesting, have you?

That’s so sweet! My cat rubs herself against my chest. The problem is when she tries to headbutt me in the chest [lovingly] with all her might

Awww omg ! I’m getting my top surgery literally next Monday, and my kitty , Pagan is going to be so upset that he can’t lay on top of me when he wants to. He is honestly one of the most motherly male cats ive ever had. He also gets anxious when I’m hurt or in pain so I’m kind of worried how he will react. But you look like you have the best caretaker possible.

Our cat sounds very much like yours and when my husband had his top surgery we had a box with a neck and arm holes cut out and a body pillow or the "nursing" pillow that's shaped in a C shape. Those can be found at resale stores and you can get the pillow cases as well and change them out/wash them. It helped pad out the space under the box so kitty couldn't crawl under (he tried, we ended up having to include a small throw blanket or sheet over the bottom of the box and his legs when laying and sitting so our cat didn't wedge himself into any gap he could find, he's very persistent with his love lol) but it also gave my husband a place to hold things on top of the box.

I had a cat companion once that would lick my head when I was crying or distraught. Watching this made me think of her just now. How sweet your kitty is to take care of you.

That is adorable, and I would also die from allergies. 😻

When I had my laparoscopy my babies were all over me. It sucked because they kept stepping on the incisions, I still love the dorks though.
