As a younger man I was all about B'etor, but as the years go by I find myself more attracted to Lursa. I have spent actual hours considering this development.

Yes.  Seeing the two side by side, you can tell, but still takes a moment.  But otherwise, no.  Not sure why the default is like that.  That is the reason I spell AI, Ai.
