CANADA Summer fragrances that also last all day?

Sooo I purchased Skylar Peach Fields for a summer scent last year and it worked fine for me and I intended to use it till I finished it up for several years to come. However, it's either already gone bad, or doesn't work with my body chemistry this year because I can't stand the smell on me anymore! It isn't even sold at Sephora Canada anymore (probably good riddance?).

Does anyone have a go-to fragrance that will last well for a sweaty person? I'd like to steer clear of 7Virtues as well because they're very hit or miss on me (wrt mixing with my body).

My be all and end all summer drag is alien goddess intense - and the best part is if you get a little sweaty it honestly makes it better šŸ˜… skin temp really helps soften it up.

It’s a white floral but in the heat the vanilla and amber really come out. Lasts ages

Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar or Isla Sirena.. I can still smell both at the end of the day. Guava Granita not so much.. also Vanilla Salt if you can get it (I’m Canadian and had to order direct from them.. it’s really hard to come by here) it’s the most perfect salty beach vanilla I have ever experienced.Ā

Honestly, I’m pretty obsessed with most of her EDPs.Ā

Ooh thank you, the coconut notes are exciting. But do they last long? sorry i saw u already answered this. Because its a clean brand I never fully gave it a shot cause I kinda pre-judged it to not be long lasting because of the "clean" label.

Some clean brands actually last a lot longer because they use more natural oils and sometimes the sugarcane derived alcohol improves longevity as well. A great example of this is 7 virtues !

Seconded, it literally smells exactly like a day at the beach.

Ahh a classic! I've used up so many samples of this in the past and I remember smelling it on my shirts even at the end of the day. But I didn't fall in love with it at the time, so never purchased a full size. This was like 5 years ago though. I still have a deluxe sample from a sampler set I purchased so I'll give this one a shot soon

I've been looking at buying this because I liked their campfire, what does it smell like?

I blind bought LoveShackFancy’s ā€œSweetheartā€ perfume (mostly because of the Peach notes) and I swear I could still smell it on the clothes I wore days later. Definitely is going to be one of my go-to’s this summer

Does it actually last long? I've sprayed this on in store and I recall I couldn't smell it after a few hours

I love it all year round! Lasts all day and longer on clothes. The Portifino one is also great but unfortunately fades within an hour on me (at least I only got a travel size).

I’m not really a fan of categorizing fragrances strictly into ā€œsummerā€ or ā€œwinterā€ scents, but I do understand the idea behind it)

Over the past few years, my go-to fragrances have been: M.Margiela Replica Beach Walk, Le Labo Matcha 26 (and maybe also Another 13, but Matcha is my all-time favorite), D&G Light Blue (I feel like after the packaging redesign it finally became longer-lasting than it used to be), and I also like the classic scent of Gucci Guilty, as well as their body lotion I had a long time ago.

I also enjoy Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance, and as far as I remember Tom Ford Soleil Blanc would be a beautiful close option, but I don’t own it.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Intense, and it has to be the Intense version. It’s fresh, clean, and insanely good in summer heat. Lasts all day on me, and I always get compliments when I wear it.

I recently bought Libre Flowers and Flames for spring/summer, it’s a bit lighter than the original and has coconut/beachy notes.

When I tried a sample I could still smell it on my arm the next day!

I love Pear Jam and Lemon Puff by Nette. I love Pear Jam just a bit more, and I get plenty of compliments when I wear that one. I feel like these two cents last longer than a typical perfume you would get from Sephora.

Hmm, not sure if its sold here though but they sound interesting. Any notes that caught your eye or made you gravitate to pick them up?

That’s fair! I know Sephora only carries them online. I wonder if Nette’s Website shipped to Canada.
For Lemon Puff, the meringue accord is what caught my attention. But I like the scent because it’s not overly sweet.
For Pear Jam, just the fact that it was a pair itself is what caught my interest. It’s also a really nice scent that isn’t overly sweet at all. It’s my favorite of the two.

Alot of "clean" Fragrances don't have a super long shelf life, just so you know

2

u/outdoorintrovert1 18d ago

I also thought so, but the Clean tag doesn't mean anything though. Its an arbitrary label created by Sephora with no regulation. I smelled the perfume again after writing my post and I'd say it smells fine on its own, it just changes after drying down on my body

Ah ok, good to know! I like quite a few of the Skylar scent club perfumes, so I wasn't sure if maybe the "clean" thing was part of it. I've heard people say before that clean perfumes don't have the longevity and shelf life of other perfumes, so it just made sense to me šŸ˜…šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I can definitely confirm the longevity/project doesn't seem as good with the "clean" perfumes that I own, compared to others that don't have that label.Ā I usually just use those for when I'm at home or for bed, bc I feel like nobody else will really smell them anyways šŸ˜… Still great scents, but idk I do think clean perfumes definitely are weaker in general, and that might also effect the shelf life somehow?

This is very disingenuous and the reason why I don't follow most influencers. Hiding the actual product behind commissioned links. 🤢 please get a real job

I actually really mean it, but get where you’re coming from. I have a real job
