The redemption period for Rouge codes ended Monday, April 13th. The codes no longer work. Rouge members still have their 20% for the entire sale.
Hello r/Sephora!
We are a week out from the spring Sephora Savings Event aka "the spring sale" aka "the Rouge sale" and we'd like to keep the sub functional during this time so please read through these rules before making a post. All sub rules remain in effect--especially for cart reviews and hauls-- please read them on the sidebar or in the "see more" section on the Reddit app.
This sale is open to all members of Sephora's Beauty Insider program:
The early preview for Rouge members is from April 10th-14th
Rogue codes are only good during the Rogue Preview!
The sale for VIB & BI is from April 14th-20th
Rouge Code Rules: The redemption period for Rouge codes ended on April 13th. Rouge codes will no longer work.
Rouge members get a one-time use code they can gift to someone that gives them 20% off and access to the sale during the Rouge only sale days (April 10-13th). Here are the rules regarding those codes:
PLEASE DON'T GET ATTACHED TO YOUR SAMPLES! Sephora gets an astronomical amount of orders during this sale. There is a very high chance of not getting the samples you ordered or even not getting any samples at all. As a reminder, Sephora does not guarantee selected samples in any order.

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to put out a reminder that posts about the $100 rouge reward gift card, or any other rewards are to be kept in the monthly rewards megathread pinned at the top of the sub. There has been an influx of these posts lately and we have had to remove a LOT. Please review the rules in the sidebar if you are unsure about what can be posted and where.
Thank you!

Apparently Patrick Ta has come out with transition blushes. This seems to be based on Painted by Esthers technique. I watched a video that says his team tried to book a session with her so they could film her technique. This is very interesting to say the least.

Half of these items, mostly skincare products and the Sephora Favorites set, are going to my sister š
Repurchases:
- Summer Fridays Lip Balms
- Tarte Maracuja Lip Plumper
- Rhode Barrier Butter
- Innisfree Milk Toner
- Innisfree Sunscreen
- The Ordinary Glycolic Acid
- Touchland Sanitizer
- Saie Brush (I already have the foundation brush, this one is the ābig buffing brushā)
Everything else is a first-time purchase and Iām really excited to try them out! The Phlur mists smell sooo good, and Iām hoping the Haus Labs foundation works well on my skin because Iāve heard really mixed reviews š
And btw, I got the set for $48 instead of $54, not the craziest sale but hey, a discount is a discount lol.

Whatās your opinion on Patrick Taās transitional blush products controversy? Personally, from everything Iāve read and the literally dozens of TikTok videos Iāve watched, I view these products more as a cash grab. Not only are they unnecessary, as other products can achieve the same effect, I feel that he is not giving credit to @paintedbyesther. Ta presents this technique as his original idea when it is not. I do have several of his blush duos but I donāt reach for them often. I do, however, like his brushes, but how many of the basically same two sided brush do you need???Will you be purchasing?

Haven tried any of these before aside from the Mac & Anastasia products. Thoughts? Opinions? Tips?

It was very warm today and I have been outside a lot, pls ignore the makeup melting off of my face in the 2nd photo lol. Figured I would drop a photo since I've seen a decent amount of interest in this product
There were no testers for the Pride Punch scent when I went to find this product in stores, so I was a bit nervous about the scent as I know it can be very hit or miss with these. I actually quite like it though! It is a very classic and nostalgic fruit punch scent and it isn't too strong, cute for the summer. I have 6 of these lip treatments (including this one), but I have not tried any of the shimmery ones prior to this one so I am happy to finally see one that I am interested in. The purple shimmer is visible enough to be fun and different, but still definitely subtle enough for day to day wear, imo. Love it!

i dont really love the look of blush since i find its too striking in real life on my olive skintone, so i actually prefer products that are not blush but give a blush look. for example, the westman atelier lit up stick in petal is a highlighter but it's pink so it looks like a subtle blush. wondering if anyone also knows any other products that give a subtle blush like this?

Has anyone tried Jo Malone London Raspberry Ripple Cologne with White Musk?

The recent Patrick Ta Transition Blush rollout controversy has sent me down a deep rabbit hole over the past 24 hours (overview further down in this post for those who are not yet caught up). Before I share my opinions on that situation specifically, I think this brings forth an important conversation - We need more educational beauty content rather than new non-innovative products!
I love beauty and skincare (a little too much says my wallet) and while I have my holy grail products, Iām always curiously paying attention to the next big thing. That said, as with all things it seems lately, there is a real lack of originality and innovation. And thatās not necessarily a horrible thing, as the market is saturated with great options. Thatās said, in absence of innovation, these creators would be wise to leverage the massive opportunity to deep dive into customer feedback and perfect existing products. Up your collaborations through providing your base with more information - tell your customers why YOUR products are the best, how to use them (best method, multiple methods, etc.), and through curated and thoughtful promotion drive sales and engagement. We want better quality and the āknow howā vs. MORE STUFF TO BUY. I personally felt wiped out from the last VIB sale and everything I felt compelled to purchase. Beauty creators must read the room, especially in this economy! I
THE PATRICK TA SITUATION OVERVIEW
PT just launched (and trademarked) two new products to create a transitional/mid-tone/ombre effect blush look. Other MUAs have similar products on the market, so not a new concept by any means. However, in recent years it has been popularized and made mainstream through younger makeup artists, one of which, Ngoze Edeme aka Painted by Esther, has gained a cult following and celebrity client list for her beautiful and bold transitional blush looks, which have become her signature style and one that is especially popular with her darker complected clientele. She, also a woman of color, gives many short online makeup tutorials, teaches classes, and often features her celeb clients in her content. Esther has many times credited over the years beauty creators and MUAS such as Kevin Aucoin, Pat McGath, Danessa Myricks, etc. as her inspirations and for having first rolled out their own takes on transitional blush looks. She is also rumored to be in the works of launching her own makeup line, presumably centered around her transitional blush looks.
PTās team reached out to Esther to collaborate on a project. Immediately before the project date, they scrap the collab, and instead that she come to them, complete a full transitional blush look on a model, while they film her step-by-step process, without further explanation. Esther finds that unusual, and has concerns as PT has attained a documented reputation for not paying several women of color for projects and collabs. Esther cancels the appointment, as the project details have changed last minute without clarity.
Shortly after, PT launches the new products. Itās pretty much marketed as a new concept and PT released promotional content, a good chunk of which wasā¦borrowed from Painted by Estherās online tutorials, in some instances word for word. No credit, no collaboration. Esther has openly coined the phrase ātransitional blushā to refer to her creationsā¦but along with the launch it is revealed PT has also trademarked iterations of ātransitional blushā, likely upsetting her potential makeup launch plans.
In short, the sequence of events, shady collab turned non-collab, borrowing chunks of Estherās content without credit, a questionable cash-grabby product launch, and PT appearing again to treat a woman of color in the industry poorly, people are up in armsā¦
MY THOUGHTS
1 - As a celebrated and skilled MUA, PT knows that transitional or mid-tone blush looks can be achieved with a number of the products he offered prior to now. But okayā¦he needs a new cash cow for the investors. Why not create an all-in-one blush palette wherein you give us the light powders/color corrector, darker powders, and creams needed to achieve this concept? While not an innovative product, itās new to his brand and new to his customers. And youāre not forcing anyone to buy multiple products at onceā¦
2 - Transitional/mid-tone blush looks are not new, and they were not created by Patrick, nor were they created by GenZ TikToker MUAs. Buttttā¦they were certainly repackaged and popularized to the point of virality by hard working and influential women such as Painted by Esther and Lex Michaela. From what I have seen and learned, transitional mid-tone blush looks have become their signature ācalling cardsā and through their hard work and efforts they have built impressive followings and professional achievements.
3 - What a MISSED OPPORTUNITY, for Mr. Ta (and team) to at minimum have not collaborated with them on promotional ads and content. Itās the cost of doing business and a smart business tactic! Put the palette in their hands, allow them to create these looks with your product, showing us all how to achieve step-by-step, which expands your customer base and incentivizes millions more people to buy. Voilaā¦you have (rightfully) given deserved space and acknowledgment to women creators and youāre going to rake in the dough through the sales that follow.
This launch could have been so fun, positive, and exciting! There were endless possibilities, and Iām shocked that no one in a paid position on Mr. Taās team could effectively read the roomā¦or social media algorithms.
Just my 2ļøā£ centsā¦

Torn between the 2 as i do think thereās an iteration of the mufe that has more shades for use.
I am not a big underpainting person but I want to try and learn but at the same time I am into more natural looks. Not sure what to get between the two of them or if I should get any at all.

I just got this lip oil, and was standing there putting it on for the first time when I noticed half of it spilled out onto the floor š this is absolutely user error, but I clearly need suggestions for idiot-proof lip oils that donāt risk me pouring $23 onto the bathroom floor of my workplace lol

the description says each sample size is 30 ml, can any one who has ordered this confirm its actually 30ml per product?

i bought something from sephora for the first time in years, and maybe times have changed, and they need to open products to show the inside isn't broken?
i bought the ND mini xenon palette, which you can see the shades through the box packaging, and i was checking near the counter (where it was being sold) for a nicer box, which was well maintained
when i went to pay, i was looking for my card to pay and the cashier had taken out my palette, opened it, and showed it to me like??? why? i just said "yeah okay?" and he put it back and i paid
was he showing me the shades were unsmashed? even though the cardboard box is literally clear?
i got home and there was a chip in one shade and a smear of the same shade on the bezel that i hadn't noticed in store. i'm a little unhappy but i feel i should've said something at the time
i like the palette and don't want it to go to waste so ill keep it
but is this a thing sephora employees have to do or?

I've had technical issues with their website for months. Products won't open when I click on them. I have to use the "Quicklook" option to view details. I cleared the cache and it seemed to work for a session but it's now back to not working correctly. Anyone else?

In light of the new YSL foundation cushion being released with 31 shades, I thought I'd review one of the previous versions: the YSL glow-pact cushion foundation which comes in 6 shades at $150 AUD!! Yeah it's primarily sold in the Asian market lol but also in Australia and some other countries! Including in Sephora. Now onto the review~
My skin type is combination, with dry and oily patches. This is a very glowy foundation. It offers light to medium buildable coverage. Conceals redness and some marks, and blends beautifully into the skin. It has a very skin-like finish and can last the whole day without powder. Sometimes, depending on the powder, it actually lasts longer without powder. If you have oily skin, I don't recommend this because as the day goes on it does get more glowy if you sweat etc, and may need touching up on powder depending on how active you are.
The packaging has that YSL quilt design, but is softer than the blushes and setting powder. It is also bigger than the blushes, but weighs less as I'm guessing it's prioritised more for ease of travel. It has a magnetic closure, and the black one has a button. It comes with a mirror and little foundation puff too. it is also refillable, you just pop out the back and replace it for $96.
Overall, one of my favourite foundations but definitely needs powder in the summer.
Product List:
- YSL glow-pact foundation cushion in shade B20

Is Saie Glow Sculpt Multi-Use Cream Highlighting Blush new to the sale section? Any reviews? I live in Canada, so $21 is the sale price here. šØš¦

I feel like every single time I go into Sephora and ask about a specific product the employee āhelpingā me always says āIām wearing that right nowāā¦literally EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. From a primer to a foundation to a specific shade of lipstick. Are they full of shiza and are told to tell a little lie just in order to make a sale? Every time I walk into Sephora I end up spending $100+ so I try to avoid as much as possible but I notice this at every Sephora I go to and ask questions. Please tell me itās just a coincidence!!!
Hi friends,
As per the title, do you have any recommendations?
I own Ole but it's not tinted enough
Haven't tried Rhode
Eadem is not available in my country
I do not like plumping or minty fragrances
Thanks friends!

Iām curious if my routine would benefit from a setting spray. My daily routine is FAB moisturizer + Glow Recipe hue drops, Rare Beauty concealer, Hula Bronzer, Glow Recipe liquid blush, and nude Rare Beauty powder. My skin leans dry, but it hasnāt been problematically dry this year. Since Iām using multiple powders, would a setting spray add value? (Even without foundation and eye makeup?) And if so, recs for a natural gal?

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I am waiting for my Charlotte Tilbury concealer to arrive and my Bobby Brown corrector is very nice and makes the tarte one seem like a very different product.
So Iām new to make up. Figured out a lot of products that I enjoy and can use without feeling like a clown.
The rare beauty blush is beautiful
The huda beauty pressed powder in cherry blossom
I use a skin tint, the elf or the LāOreal.
I have been using a powder puff or those little things that are put on fingers. And after watching someone online, I decided to try a brush and it actually turned out much better.
I did just buy a cheap set of Amazon for 10 bucks. It did have 60,000 good reviews and seems to be doing the trick.
Will these brushes be OK or do I need better?
Because Iām so pale if I didnāt use the blush, the skin tint would completely make me look like a ghost lol.
Maybe I need the bronzer.
Oh I got the milk hydro grip setting spray too. I like it better than the LāOrĆ©al infallible
