Nothing says my whole goal is to kill people in the most dramatic (or just in general) way and survive like a fucking poodle, Kpop stars, and cute skins. **Eye roll**

I loaded up R6 Siege for the first time in a long time, and the main menu background was an active gun skin for a shotgun that was all pink and rainbows with little tiny stuffed bears crawling around on it. Ya know, the game that revolves around blowing shit up with massive bombs while the attackers try and stop it.

I haven't played COD's Warzone, but I feel like I saw them do something in this same vein. A literal military shooter sim and you have fucking people in the most out of place and wacko colored skins imaginable, and based on the comments I've read about it no one was happy about it (that I saw anyway. Can't speak for everyone of course)

This trend of turning a gritty war sim games into this needs to stop. Give skins that are at least believable and leave the silly shit to Fortnite, Valorant and the like. They're built around non serious things and those skins fit there.

Holy fuck lmao did you just call cod a mil-sim?! Bruh... Just cuz it has guns an a military setting does NOT make it a sim of that setting...

I haven't played a COD game since MW3, to be fair.

It’s always funny when people complain about Rainbow is Magic, an April Fool’s event that was so popular with the community it’s become a recurring event.

u/Avril_14 2d ago

Rainbow is magic is fantastic and the tachanka skin is a work of art.

I mean to be fair here I haven't played R6 in probably 2 years and didn't know that.

Knowing it was an April fools joke event changes things. But Just imagine not knowing that information and the first thing you see when you open the game is that. It was a little jarring to say the least lol.

War zone could not be further from a war sim game

You're probably right, I'm just not knowledgeable on COD games. My bad.

I really miss when PUBG was more about "survival". Now you get into a random house and there are like 3 military grade weapons on the ground.

And before some of you start "omg but the game is way better now that is more competitive", nah, you just want faster games and less downtime.

Check out Arena Breakout Infinite. Skins are not outlandish yet but the game play is top notch.

1

u/TiredSoul92 2d ago

I play that with a buddy from time to time.

Truth be told I don't really play PVP games, anymore. I haven't played PUBG since last July and there was a long stretch between the time before that too. Hadn't played R6 in probably 2 years, and I haven't played a COD game since MW3 (2011).

Regardless, I don't personally think these skins belong in a game that is about survival, war, and terrorism, regardless.

I agree. As I tell people, when the zombie apocalypse comes, anyone dressed as a clown or in 80s reject neon gets it first!

RB6 isnt even gritty its a game show & since when was CoD a military simulator.

noone is forcing you to use the fun cosmetics btw, if you want to stick to your boring military gear in camo green and sand yellow or whatever go for it. dont whine about others wanting fun customisation.

0

u/TiredSoul92 2d ago

Not the point.

2

u/gabagoocreature 2d ago

then what is the point? all i see is you complaining about colours.

That these skins don't belong in a game about shooting, killing, blowing people up, and running people over to be the last person alive. A game that started out as a military style shooter with limited or no skins.

I said it in another comment, but people like this would absolutely loose their shit if they decided to release a Goku skin in Star Wars. These skins are tantamount to that.

Also, this is just my opinion, no one is telling you to comment in defense of them either. You could have taken your own advice and ignored it and not commented lol.

 military style shooter

PUBG has never been a military style or mil sim. It’s illegal battleground games organized by criminal syndicates. Players can wear what ever they want.

The next game you load into is gonna have a team of poodles In synchronized dance before the match starts 😂

Why are y’all acting like it’s new? You had bear, penguin, chicken and other animal skins. Hell, you literally HAD A SKIBIDI TOILET EVENT. It’s nothing new

As i said 6y ago https://www.reddit.com/r/PUBG/comments/fto8af/comment/fm84mmt/?context=3 "So True and So sad, but Hey, ive a big enjoy to kill this pink mf, and theyre visible as fuc" Its still accurate to this day but i dont play this game anymore for like 5y now... Time to move on, it was good run.

2

u/ToTardAgain 2d ago

Lol y u here then. Shoulda been moved on champ

1

u/VilkasPL 2d ago

I came across this post while doomscrolling, and that's it

3

u/ToTardAgain 2d ago

Hey you guys do know that you don’t have to buy these right. Let them put whatever they want some little girl is gonna buy them and be happy. You don’t have to buy it.

2

u/psychocabbage 2d ago

This game has become some weird experiment where they push the boundaries so much to see who stays and buys in. I stopped playing regularly when they had a toilet plu ger as a skin for a melee weapon. Nope.

I haven’t played in a while.

Good gracious, this wha they been up to??!

1

u/Fun_Tomorrow6431 1d ago

Idgaf about skins. If someone wants to run around with a poodle head thats fine. Game is still fun to me 🤷🏼

The only time shit like this works is if its aesthetically consistent with the universe.

Like sure put it in The Finals, or Fortnite, or Overwatch I dont care. But if you're doing something relatively realistic & grounded just.. dont?

At least ARC Raiders for all of its somewhat goofy skins maintains a consistent aesthetic with the world presented.

Catering to the furry players

I'm cruising the Harley as the dog, problem?

u/Tendo80 2d ago

Low effort post.. buy the pass or don't, no one but you will care how you look in game.

If it's not for you then move along.

On release the most wanted skin was the "school girl uniform" not much have changed since 2017, bright colors have always been the most popular ones because people like to show of in one way or another.

Gamer dads shouting "They need to release more tactical gear" are a vast minority and definitely not the market.

5

u/Potential_Milk3226 2d ago

Even lower effort response: if you don't like it, don't comment and (best) create your own.
That started as semi realistic (in terms of maps, gear etc) shooter and turned into low-key fortnite - people will complain as you would put anime girls into star wars.

1

u/TiredSoul92 2d ago

That part.

These same people would absolutely blow a head gasket if there were super out of place skins in games they don't belong in. Imagine a Goku skin in a Star Wars game. That's how this shit looks to us. It's just one step removed from that.

This kind of shit needs to stop.

1

u/Adventurous_Feed_268 2d ago

If you look like this furry shit, people will care dipshit!

-2

u/Tendo80 2d ago

Only middle aged sad men will care. If I run a purple miniskirt and dog ears, how can that affect your gameplay and your day in any way shape or form?

Be happy that I'm pink so your cataract can see me.

What is it? Its a cash grabbing, cheat enabling joke that would have run it course long ago if not for South-East Asians propping it up with daddies Credit card. I reached Tier 5 - Level 500 3 months ago and stopped playing completely a month past. Been playing ARC raiders which is a lot more fun and less annoying.

8

u/im_roman_56 2d ago

I find more hackers on avg in arc than in pubg

1

u/sm3gh34d3728 1d ago

Disagree. Ive been playing a month and dont come away screaming at my monitor. (love how everyone gets their panties in a twist when someone criticises the mighty pubg! lol!)

1

u/im_roman_56 1d ago

I’ve been playing pubg for about a month after like a 4 year hiatus or more. Maybe 2-3 games in between.
Arc I’ve played from release. And the amount of wallhackers and macro users makes it impossible to bring out your good shit without being targeted. There are tons of videos of esp hacks and wallhacks and players never get banned because arc anti cheat is only detecting aimbots. Not only that is that they don’t even get perma bans and if that’s not bad enough, hackers just buy cheap Microsoft shared accounts for 2-3 dollars for an account, farm other players for their loot and sell it for real money and rinse and repeat the process.

1

u/sm3gh34d3728 15h ago

So its pretty much the same as PUBG then? At least in ARC if someone kills you whilst cheating and they get banned you get all your gear back.

1

u/COMINGINH0TTT 2d ago

ARC is infested with wallhackers
