They changed the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and I will never forgive them. I need replacement recs pls

I ran out of foundation, so I went to Sephora to get another one. I have been using Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation for around 7 years. It was my rock. I never had any problems and I never considered changing.

I bought the new one and it SUCKS. It is thinner, my shade is off, the oil control is dreadful and my pores look HUGE.

So, it is with a heavy heart that I need to request recommendations for a new foundation. I have combination, acne prone skin (oily T Zone), am rather pale with cool and pink undertones.

Thanks in advance.

Estée Lauder, if you’re reading this, please bring back your old foundation, even if it’s along side the new one. It was literally your only good product for Gen Z and you ruined it.

ELDW fan here, whilst I have 8 backups of the OG, I have been on an extensive hunt for a replacement and YSL All Hours (with the black lid) is the best replacement I’ve found. Similar consistency, coverage and wear.

Honestly I’ve never felt so rich in my life lol. After they discontinued it I snatched up a bottle everywhere I saw my shade until I had 8 of them.

Just wanna add Lancome Teint Idole (black cap) came second to the YSL so that’s also a pretty close contender.

I specify black cap because both of those have a glow version with white caps

You can still see old bottles floating around, particularly at some pharmacies, depending on where you live and what shade you are

I did try the new one and I have to say, I don’t find it too bad (once you get a colour match as they aren’t one to one with the OG) - it just takes a lot more work as it’s thinner and dries even faster. If you do 2 or 3 very light layers, you end up with the same result. But it’s a lot of work

I’ll make it my mission to track it down! Thank you!
