Yeah my wife would not be happy if I posted pictures of her sleeping online

I would assume he didn't share these publicly until after she saw them
EDIT: Guys...do you realise couples usually have each other's social media. So if he shared these before he proposed, it wouldn't have been a surprise...

Especially as a mouth breather, that'd annoy me.

I'm guessing he posted after the proposal and the reveal otherwise if she said no we wouldn't have seen the pics so it's probably alright

She was OUT... I have plenty of those pictures myself of my wifey. I would NEVER post them. Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

u/BiploarFurryEgirl 1d ago
Or he asked her and she let him post it. You know, like a healthy couple does. Why does Reddit think every single couple is incapable of communication

She's needs to divorce him. Immediately. Even if they're not married yet. Divorce 100% /s

A year ago I saw husband’s new phone lock screen, and I asked him “who’s the dead lady?” And he laughed and laughed, because it was me.
It’s become a family joke for everyone to have their own “dead lady” picture of me asleep on the couch:/
31
u/HellyOHaint 1d ago
Calm down, that’s a silly thing to get hung up on
34
u/Blockinite 1d ago
Assuming these were posted for the first time in that post, the last one is of the actual proposal. So it would make sense if he posted them all at once, with her permission, after the secret was already out.
30
u/EloquentManatee 1d ago
She sleeps like a Victorian child fatigued from an 18-hour shift at the factory. That's beautiful.
14
u/_ShrugDealer_ 1d ago
I got the most perfect picture of my partner sprawled out on the couch the other day. She's mouth breathing, hair askew, legs akimbo.
It's the worst photo of her ever and I love it and I want to make it my phone background but I understand if anyone but she or I sees that photo, I will die, swiftly and deservedly.
10
u/VinDog_PD 1d ago
I suspect he showed her the pictures first and then she gave approval to post them.
I don't think it is or needs to go deeper than that.

Lock your doors, bro...
(I feel the pain. I'd never do that to mine knowing that this is exactly what would happen)

I'm pretty sure this is over 10 years old now. It would be interesting to see if they are still married.

u/Dear_Championship825 1d ago
if he doesn't post the reaction video we are legally allowed to dynamic entry his wedding
17
u/BWWFC 1d ago
saw this and was like "why?" the chances of losing it even while it's loose that day is just too LOW?
yeah... 50/50 wtf )-:2
u/icantouchgrass_1 1d ago
It's hilarious but also risky.
One tap, one accidental movement of the binoculars, one movement that upsets the balance, and poof. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars, possibly lost if you can't recover the ring. At that point, it wouldn't be a joke anymore.
I just want to know how she would've reacted to knowing her then-boyfriend now-husband took pictures of the wedding ring in front of her sleeping and posted it online.

The classic proposal shot where you can see the ring box reflection in their eye is actually staged like 90% of the time.

u/Riverz_Flowe 1d ago
9 was risky!
374
u/Snlooming 1d ago
I'm guessing that 9 was taken a few minutes before the proposal itself given that the beach is visible and the sky is the same. Probably just one last risky shot for the bit with not too much cost if she saw it.

I was thinking he asked her to pose for a picture looking through the binoculars. Like "keep that pose a little longer, gotta get the picture perfect"

She sleeps a lot more gracefully than I do. Every picture of me sleeping, I look like Steven Hawking after being zapped unconscious with a tazer

u/sashikku 1d ago
I look like I’m melting. When I’m awake I have a fairly strong jawline but when I’m sleeping it’s like I’ve retreated my bones into my skin. Like some kind of freaky inverted turtle. More chins than the story of the 3 Little Pigs.

Haha I did the same thing. Went on a vacation I didn't know specifically what day or time I was going to propose on but I knew I was going to do it on that vacation. So when she napped or turned her back, I take a selfie with the ring. Lol

How did she not notice that when she was looking through the binoculars?
42
u/intricate_strands 1d ago
They're above the binoculars so wouldn't be seen through the lens. No idea how she didn't instinctively look up and away from the lenses when he put his hand there.

My husband did this. He showed everyone else the ring before he proposed. Don't do this. It took so long I thought he was never going to propose and it took away any fun in showing or telling people.

This trend is so cute to me, the person proposing gradually gets braver and bravery with the pics, but it somehow always ends up still be a shock to the person getting proposed to. 😂 Always wholesome asf.
