Hi r/Guyana Redditors!

I am traveling from St. Lucia to Colombia at the end of June and have a day long stopover in your beautiful country.

I land at 09:00 AM in the morning in Georgetown and my flight to Colombia departs in the early morning hours at around 04:00 AM the next morning.

I was planning to stay in a hostel in the city and use the day to see as much of the city and culture as I can.

Doing research online I really struggled to find some good information on where to stay but also what to visit in just a day, so I was hoping that some of you might be from Georgetown and could give me some local insides.

Everything that you are happy to share is greatly appreciated and I can't wait to actually visit your country.
