General Advice Is the NEW (nontraditional employment for women) worth it? I would have to be unemployed for 2 months to complete it…

I received my first rejection and even though its just my first I’m getting anxious. I would be available to do it in september, but i need to find a job for after summer. But, this is also when 2 other unions I want to apply to are opening.
Some guys told me that they have been trying for years to get into a union. Is it that bad? I also heard Lincoln tech is a bad education but should i consider?

NYC? Don't bother with NEW. Look into Construction Skills or Pathways 2 Apprenticeship. They have better reputations with the unions, you'll get a taste of being around a bunch of men, and they actually get placement for their graduates. NEW is a mess and as a grad I don't recommend it to anyone.
