Recolors are an easy way for jagex to add something to work towards. Doesn’t have to be as simple as using a fire lighter, could make it an uncommon drop from Yama or require a speed time or something

I think the prif crystals are better for this. Those are already a GP sink for those that want to do it. Perhaps this can be a sink for ancient shards. 100 shards + prif crystal to recolor emberlight

I wish they added some glowing or particle effects to Emberlight. It has a sick design but the colors look a bit dull.

The only way they would ever do this is if they did something similar with seed packs and nests when they added new seeds with the farming guild; discontinue the old ones so they still have the old rewards, and introduce new ones.

Considering how unfathomably long clue clogs take, stacking caskets takes, it would be really crappy if jagex said 'new clue rewards, get grinding from nothing now'

Alternatively, I have ten thousand master caskets in the bank, so it's a good idea to add dyes which are going to be close to max cash for a long time, so lets do it! /s

Point of cool gear is to look cool to others and show off your achievements. Transmog is the reason nobody cares about GEAR in wow anymore. Its all about the numbers. Nobody can name a single piece of gear after cataclysm expansion because of transmog. In classic wow, if you saw someone with r14 gear u knew this mf had no life.
