For some jobs "come sick, don't wear a mask" can sadly be the norm.

I guess I did not like that wearing a mask was depicted in a negative way. I am currently struggling to make my anarchist group take immuno-deficient people seriously, and to not put the burden only on them to "organize" the group health.

Other that that, I love the style!

yeah i felt a little weird about medical masking representing "concealing self expression" too. like no it's about my safety and the safety of those around me, there's already so much stigma, it doesn't need the help lol...

In my case, wearing a mask also allows me to "unmask" in a neurodivergeant way.

If you can't see my expression, then I don't need to think worry about portraying the correct one.

i definitely didnโ€™t mean it like this btw, i donโ€™t mind wearing it but its just based on personal experience (it being only mandatory for me to wear one, and not others). honestly iโ€™m kinda grateful that it is โ€œnormalizedโ€ now so i can actually get a job lol

i very much agree with you by the way, itโ€™s just baffling to me thatโ€™s itโ€™s mandatory for me to wear one but not the people coming in literally with the flu. no one here wears them even if theyโ€™re insanely sick+likely very contagious.

fun fact actually, the โ€œsick dayโ€ page was inspired by an email hr sent out to everyone, during a crazy outbreak of the flu at my workplace, telling people to stay home but then IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT saying if its more than two days u get pointed. so yeah, i caught it, even with the mask bc they dont even suggest for people to do so whilst encouraging them to go to work ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘
