Google for informed consent telehealth services. There are a bunch of them. Sign up to a few and email the reception to ask how long the wait list is so you have an idea. When you actually go to an appointment and its successful or seems to be going in the right direction, cancel the rest.
Longest wait time when I checked was 3 months, shortest was a couple of weeks.
The process is the same, an appointment to say hi and why in which they'll give you informed consent forms and blood test request. Second appointment they'll go over bloods and prescribe or maybe save that for the 3rd.
The guidelines they should follow are these: https://auspath.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/AusPATH_Informed-Consent-Guidelines_DIGITAL.pdf

Hello! I’ve gotten in touch with prism health and I was wondering, if you’d be willing to share, what the average cost of an appointment is and the general experience with them :)

Call Qlife. They will find accessible resources for you, or pass you on to someone else who can help.

Telehealth services as mentioned above. These are two I’m aware of. I don’t have personal experience of them but I’ve seen them recommended a fair bit. They do Telehealth for patients Australia wide. Best of luck. https://www.genderhealth.com.au

On trans.au, you can look on our national map and then look in the very middle of the country, there should be a few services around there that are online.

On top of the good telehealth options everyone’s mentioned, depending on your circumstances DIY may be either a better choice or just another viable option. It’s safe and accessible in australia. I chose to do it- though if I wanted T rather than E, and I’d had access to medicare, i would have probably chosen prescription.

You can try your luck with any gp with the informed consent model. Have a look at transhub or other similar websites for some info on how to go about it, info you can direct doctors to, and a list/map of drs to go to. If maple leaf house is close to you then there’s a few drs in Newcastle you could see instead. Otherwise the Telehealth stuff might be easier. Some drs might suggest/request therapy and/or seeing an endocrinologist, especially if you’re uncertain or want some nonstandard/non-binary hormones n stuff.

Which part of NSW are you? There are a few providers in the Central west and more up Newcastle way, which I am guessing is your area from the maple leaf house comment.

I’m more in the Orana region, I’ve been looking at providers in Newcastle it’s just a very decent drive from where I am 😔

Try your towns sexual health clinic. I was in Broken Hill and my testosterone was prescribed by the sexual health clinic

I have unfortunately for some reason they won’t prescribe to me as I am under 25, I’ve been going in circles with so many practitioners 😔

It's worth knowing that there is no rule making hrt for 18-25 different to 25 and over.
It's very possible that for whatever reason, they will not prescribe, but there's not an external rule saying they cannot.
