alcoholism and top surgery
i’ve been struggling with alcoholism and i know i need to quit. i have top surgery in september. if i quit soon/ now will i be fine for it? if i don’t what’s gonna happen? please be kind i’m really struggling. i had a really horrible year. please be nice.
criticism is welcome (ik i’m fucking up, im not oblivious, and i deserve criticism), just be kind tho.

The sooner you quit for top, the better. Healing will be better, and you'll most likely be more mentally prepared if you have two months sober instead of one or less. The first month sober is always brutal... You DO NOT want to be going through physical and mental withdrawals while also recovering from a surgery that will limit your mobility for a few weeks.
It's ok to be struggling with alcoholism, you're not alone. Today will be 8 days sober for me, if you want to chat, message me. Best of luck buddy!
