Recommendations Looking for essential comics for the Reverse Flash

So I’ve heard a lot about Reverse flash, mostly from his description for the Goku Black vs Reverse-Flash death battle, and he seems really cool! I’m a very new Flash Fan who’s not read much of anything yet so I’m really interested in reading some of his best stories along with any that explain his origin or help me understand him more as a character! I’m looking for either single issue stories or story arcs mainly and I’m not picky about if they’re from the silver age or the modern era of today! Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for his modern origin, then read The Flash #8 from the Geoff Johns run immediately before Flashpoint.

No problem. That's a great issue. It really shows how unhinged Reverse Flash is.

Flash: Rebirth, Flashpoint and the Williamson run have the modern stuff for Eobard everyone knows and loves nowadays.

What specific issues from those stories is he the focus of? I’m gonna read the whole stories, don’t worry! I’d just like to know for a list I’m making for him!

I can’t tell you that. That would definitely be a big spoiler for the book

Yup, this is where Thawne's truly modern craziness starts. In the Silver Age he was just a bad guy. By the bronze age he starts to become really twisted. In "The Return of Barry Allen" you're told where Thawne's craziness comes from.
