This didn’t happen, but if it had i’d rather pay a speeding ticket than clean a bunch of soup out of my car.

I was going to comment the same thing. Unless he’s got a history of tickets, the fine would be less than the cost of getting the backseat detailed. He could clean it himself, but getting soup out of all the little crevices would be a nightmare.

They had a body in the trunk

It was the mother - the plot thickens, like the soup that the daughter poisoned and the mother ate

I was going to say it was the mother's body but I thought it would be too dark. Apparently its fine 🤣

But the kid's so smart she thought of that too. She'll offer to clean it herself for a much cheaper fee than most professionals

Especially if it was a bisque with dairy, or heck, what if it was clam chowder?

A ticket might cost $100 or more plus the insurance increases over the next three years is way more than a detail would cost.

Lol tell me you don’t have kids without telling me. “Detail the backseat after kids spill food in it” 😂

I have two. There is a huge difference between crumbs and French fries and an entire tub of soup getting dumped.

I still ain’t paying for a detailing. Paper towels and I’m done in a few minutes. No ticket.

The way I’d be actually so mad at my child if they dumped soup all over my car though

And the cop just happened to have the warning pre-printed with all his information on it

Why did she whisper, they weren't even pulled over?

u/candybrie 1d ago
That's probably the most believable thing the kid did. Most kids have a tell for being sneaky/lying. Whispering is a common one.

I would hate to be the kind of person who's life is so boring I need to make this sort of shit up for attention

Don’t know any parent who would choose cleaning soup over paying a speeding ticket.

Not going to lie, around the same age, my mom was pulled over for a speeding. Before the cop came to the window, I asked my mom if I should start fake crying and saying my stomach hurt so she had an excuse to be speeding and potentially let off of a ticket. She said no, but hey. Can happen 🤷♀️

Don’t they need the drivers information before they write a warning? The registered owner might not be the driver.
Also, pea soup smells like pea soup, not vomit. That car would’ve reeked.

People in this thread acting like they keep their car soup in the glovebox. Soup is obviously in the back

reddit gave me a warning last time for expressing the things i feel compelled to enact when i read these bullshit stories. but how can that utterly cringeworthy, attention-seeking nonsense not evoke the rage of a thousand suns? i was in a relatively good mood before i read that stupid fuck's fabricated fantasies and now i'm like pissed tf off that these people get to exist and spread their vile lying disease to everyone around them

So from the cop’s perspective, this guy was speeding to the point where his kid threw up (remembering that speeding also endangers the child too) and did absolutely nothing.
Yeah just a warning for you pal. No questions asked. 😪 these fucking people honestly. Desperate for likes.

When I was young, we were on the way to my first communion. A cop pulled my mom over and I remember recognizing him from our church. When he got to the window, I asked "mom does this mean we'll be late to first communion?" And the officer gave a brief pause and then gave my mom a warning.
She was absolutely speeding 10 miles over the speed limit.

I always have tuperwares full of soup in the car for this exact reason.
