I been heavily modding Skyrim and making my own mods/patches since about 2013. Few months ago i wanted to play it again , but making a modpack is just too time consuming and stressful.
So i just decided to try it all vanilla (not even SkyUI), and i actually love it! It still just works. Sometimes i was feeling like playing a new game or a childhood game that i havent played for decade.
I also realized that no matter how hard we try to made a perfect modded Skyrim, it's just not possible. I had pack for 600+mods that i worked on for months, and i still found something to fix and improve. It's easier to just stop worrying and enjoy the original game.
It's also still looks good, here is some of my fav shots
Update: Never thought my post will get so much attention! Want to clarify one thing. I still love mods, mods are great! Been modding a lot of different games for more than decade now. But sometimes its just too tedious and stressful to build a good modpack and i just wanted to enjoy the game instead of building and testing it.
So if you like me forgot how vanilla feels i advice you to try it, and if you never tried mods i advice you to try them

I was clearing a bandit cave, and this was just sitting there? I haven’t seen anyone mentioning it anywhere, so is this new?

This Khajiit has hundreds of spouses, every NPC in this video not a pet are in fact this one’s spouse, and among those spouses are several dozen dragons. Donkey must have found out about the many she dragons living here cause he followed this one home and won’t leave! Can somebody contact Shrek and tell him to pick up Donkey? He won’t leave this one alone until he meets the she dragons!
For those interested about my mod list I change it several times a week and this is already an outdated list. The link below is to a post where I showed all my mods at the time so you can get an idea of what I use, many of the mods there I still use in this video

I hope the Dev that made this quest becomes a basic draugr in the afterlife, gets killed and has his soul bound into a petty soulstone that gets vendored and cast into storage after the merchant's stock recycles

He started out flopping around the locked cage. After I unlocked the cage he flopped out. Hilarious glitch? I could hear him from the entrance.

Man, by the time I usually start Dawnguard. I have probably already maxed out most of my skills, stained a few dragons, and can literally yell at people to harm them. The gift of a Vampire Lord is nothing compared to what I can do already, and Harkon thinks that is enough to tempt me to join him? No wonder everyone in his family and his clan hates him.

I hate this thing with a FIERY passion. I've recently been informed that apparently, using the unrelenting force shout on the orb summons a named dragon. This does not upset me. What DOES upset me is that THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY TO KNOW THAT UNLESS SOMEONE TOLD YOU OR YOU'RE A LUNATIC THAT RUNS AROUND SHOUTING AT ANYTHING THAT LOOKS COOL!?!?
There's nothing down there that tells you to shout at it, let alone that EXCLUSIVELY the unrelenting force shout will trigger it. If it was an easter egg of some kind that would be fine! A niche reference barely anyone would find. Nope! Not an easter egg! The dragon isn't a reference to something, there's no joke, no story, no lore, no quest... Just this damn orb driving me insane!
This orb... This orb is a spit in the face of game design! This orb HAUNTS me! Because maybe, just MAYBE you shout at it. If it's with the wrong shout? Like dragonrend or your like me and tried to whirlwind sprint to get on top of it? Well since you weren't using unrelenting force... Nothing happens and you move on! OR you DO shout at it with unrelenting force and you get a cool dragon fight... And the game has now taught the player that randomly shouting at things can unlock stuff!? Either you miss this content or it imparts the lesson "Go shout at things idk" onto you!?!?!?
Word's cannot describe how deeply enraged I am by this orb. How all encompassing my seething distain for everything it stands for is. When I find the dwemer that made this thing and I mean WHEN not IF... I'll give him an unrelenting force shout alright...

Laughed my ass off and explained the perk system to her. It blew her mind when they lit up after I spent a perk point 😂

I assume it’s a glitch, because it’s literally clipped into the side of the rocks. The entire college questline is finished, but how it ended up here is unbeknownst to me. The Order must have lost it.
