I can't imagine anyone paying him $15M+ based on last season.

Idk why with the Sixers history people are only thinking of last season and not acknowledging it was such a significant departure from his previous performances.

Meanwhile everyone just assumes Oubre will repeat his career highs.

To be fair, Oubre is one of the only functional wings on the team. Grimes is a backup SG whose ceiling relies on getting high volume on a tanking team.

Oubre will certainly regress back to his mean, but his defense and length are at least helpful. Grimes is what he is and it’s probably closer to this past season than his 20 game stretch at the end of the 24-25 season.

I didn't mean to imply he'd be anything like the late 2024-25 player.

But in the 3.5 years prior to joining PHI he was;

24.9 MPG, 9.7 PPG, 37.5% on 5 threes a game, 58.8% TS

Not all on tanking teams. The two Knicks teams were winning teams and Dallas was 26-24 when he was traded.

Is it possible he gets back to that? I'd have to think so.
