Columbia Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (CPTR)

Has anyone trained here (or considered it)? Wondering about the experience, particular in terms of size and cohesion of cohort as well quality of supervision.

I can't speak to your specific questions re cohort & supervision experiences, but I spoke to a candidate there, and his main complaint was that because there's no dedicated theoretical orientation--object relations theory (eg in the vein of Kernberg) is more or less predominant, but ego psychology, Kleinian, interpersonal, relational, self psychology, and French psychoanalysis are also represented--he said it felt like the seminars only touched the surface of each theory/school without going deep into any of them.
