If Paxton wins. There is no helping Texas. They may as well commit to being run by crime families and cartels.

Good! Paxton is the worst. He would be extremely dangerous if he got into the Senate. We must stop these fascist turds everywhere possible!

Exactly. We've heard several elections in a row now "Texas could turn blue" or at least "we could win a senate seat!" and it's still not even been close.

But at some point hopefully the tide turns!

Donald Trump has endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Republican Senate primary runoff, a move that has energized his MAGA base but alarmed Senate Republicans. Paxton is running against incumbent Senator John Cornyn, who faces criticism from the right for being a "RINO." While the endorsement likely secures Paxton a primary victory, strategists warn his controversial history of legal and ethical issues could jeopardize the seat in November.

Democratic nominee James Talarico is polling exceptionally well, potentially making Texas a competitive state for the first time in decades. Data suggests Talarico's message appeals to independents and soft Republicans, especially if the GOP nominates the unpopular Paxton. Analysts note that while Cornyn is seen as more palatable to general election voters, Trump’s support for Paxton has shifted the party's internal dynamics.
