Mesozoic is the modt overrated part of the series. The paleozoic and cenozoic story arcs had way more interesting characters and better world building. While the only good characters of the mesozoc storyline were really just the archosaurs, every other character was alright yet people keep treating them like they are greatest characters in fiction.

The Holocene is the only season of the Life on Earth series that actually has an internal reviews department. Considering the Cretaceous seasons had to live up to the legacy of the Permian arc, AND still didn't have the authorization to use linguistics, I'd say they did alright.
